EU and Mexico negotiations failed, hit hard as Trump raises tariffs from 20% to 30%
Breaking news:
Just now, Trump announced on social media that the latest tariffs on both the EU and Mexico will be set at 30%.
The EU had been in long talks with the U.S., and there had been optimistic expectations for a positive outcome.
However, the result was worse than expected — instead of the current 20%, tariffs were raised by another 10 percentage points to 30%.
This outcome will likely be very difficult for the EU to accept.
