On 27 Jul 2025, I have posted about $Intel(INTC)$ Q2 2025 earnings and the mitigation steps the ex-IT giant are taking to curb (a) fixed overheads, (b) CAPEX expenditure, all the while keeping revenue flowing-in.

Even before the dust settles on INTC quarterly earnings, there is possible good news on the horizon.

On 26 Jul 2025, it was reported that both $Apple(AAPL)$ & $NVIDIA(NVDA)$ are currently sampling early versions of INTC’s 14A PDK to its customers. Both IT giants seem to be interested. (see below)

Under INTC’s new CEO, Lip-Bu, Tan - all new chip factory (fab) investments, including the new 14A process and Ohio fab, will be paced or scaled only if anchored by customer commitments.

Potential adoption of INTC’s 14A could be the massive breakthrough, an entirely new frontier. for the Blue team.

With the chip supply chain dominated currently by $Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$, it means the Big Tech can become “held hostages” with no alternatives.

On a worst case scenario, they may need to comply with TSM’s changing demands, when it comes to (a) node pricing or (b) production capacity.

“Monopoly” in any industry is bad news, really.

Stock Movement.

Market seemed to have welcome the rumours. (see below)

As of 28 Jul 2025 endday

• INTC has been falling for the past 3 days since 24 Jul 2025.

• On Mon, 28 Jul 2025, it managed to recover marginally intraday before losing steam. in afternoon trading

• It ended the day marginally lower at -0.10% or $20.68 per share.

Technical Analysis.

(1) Moving averages (ma):

• 20-day ma is at $20.70.

• 50-day ma is at $20.69.

• 200-day ma is at $20.73.

As of Mon, 28 Jul 2025 closing - INTC is below its 3 moving averages - signaling a persistent bearish trend, in the near term.

(2) Relative Strength Index (RSI).

• Its RSI on Monday is 38.84.

• INTC is mild to moderate bearish momentum.

• The next few days ‘may’ see it heading towards an oversold region. Currently, it is not yet giving a classic oversold signal on its own.

• *Note : a RSI readings below 30 are taken to signal an oversold condition.

(3) Support & Resistant Levels.

• Immediate support level : $20.46.

• Next support level : $20.23.

• Immediate resistant level : $21.10.

• Next resistant level : $21.51.

Technically, INTC is under “Sell” status. The unanswered question is whether the Trump administration had asked AAPL & NVDA to support INTC and ensures its survivability ?
