I see the recent tech selloff as an opportunity to start screening quality companies, but I do not think we can call it a confirmed bottom yet. I remain positive on the long-term AI story, especially companies with strong competitive advantages and sustainable earnings.

My focus is on individual stocks rather than buying the entire $Invesco QQQ(QQQ)$ basket blindly. I want to see whether revenue growth can translate into stronger free cash flow, while keeping an eye on valuation, capital expenditure and debt. A lower share price does not automatically mean a stock is cheap.

I prefer to accumulate gradually on meaningful pullbacks rather than rush in with a lump sum. I am watching $Alphabet(GOOGL)$ , $Microsoft(MSFT)$ , $NVIDIA(NVDA)$ and $Broadcom(AVGO)$   but I will keep some cash available in case volatility continues. For me, patience and capital preservation matter more than catching the exact bottom.

All these whiles we have witnessed the benefits and convenience brought by AI. AI undoubtedly will have a bright outlook in years to come. The very crucial point now is how those giant techs can utilise their AI power to bring in positive cash flow. As of now, ordinary person should be reluctant to pay for the AI services.

Very true. People love using AI, but getting everyone to pay for it is another story 😄 That’s why I think companies that can monetize AI indirectly through cloud, advertising, productivity or enterprise services may have an advantage.

Totally agree 👍 Buying during a selloff is psychologically much harder than it sounds. I’d rather accumulate quality companies gradually because, in the long run, fundamentals should matter much more than short-term hype.

Yes agreed with your analysis. I am continuing to add to the tech and AI related companies after the recent market correction. I don't believe the AI boom cycle has ended.

Agreed 👍 I don’t think the AI cycle is over either. I’m just becoming more selective now. Rather than buying everything related to AI, I prefer adding gradually to companies with strong earnings, cash flow and competitive advantages.

Exactly. A lower price creates opportunity, but it doesn’t automatically create value. I’m staying bullish on quality AI names while keeping some cash ready in case volatility gives us better entry points.

I pretty much agree with the writer of this article. Even in the bull market, the share price can't keep going up with any corrections. There are still many organisations not adopting AI and there are still many opportunities in AI

Well said. A correction doesn’t necessarily mean the AI cycle is over. There are still plenty of companies yet to fully adopt AI, so I see this more as a time to become selective and look for quality opportunities rather than panic over short-term volatility.

hi five, I also share the same sentiments as the writer. On and off, we need to have such sell off to prevent the bubbles from forming. The share price can't keep going up without forming bubbles.

Agreed 👍 High CapEx makes stock picking even more important. I’m looking for companies that can turn those investments into real earnings and cash flow, not just revenue growth.

Same view here 👍 I’m still bullish on AI long term, but I don’t want to rush just because prices have dropped. There could be more volatility ahead, so keeping some cash and adding quality names gradually feels more comfortable.

I see the correction as a chance to reassess valuations rather than a signal that the AI story is over. I’m staying selective and looking for companies with strong moats, sustainable earnings and healthy cash flow before adding gradually.

Spot on! Selective stock picking over broad ETFs makes sense here. Focusing on free cash flow and valuation is key during high-CapEx sell-offs.

A disciplined approach—staggered entries, quality stocks, and cash reserves provide flexibility while managing downside risk during market volatility.

      历史可以给我们参考,但不会每次都重复。对我来说,这次大跌更重要的是观察企业盈利、估值和资金面是否开始企稳,而不是急着判断底部已经出现。机会正在增加,但耐心还是很重要。

I feel the same. The correction has made some names more attractive, but valuations in parts of tech still look demanding. I’m keeping some cash ready and would be more interested if we get another meaningful leg down.

Sustainable earnings is the hard part here. If growth slows even a bit, do these multiples still hold up?

Exactly. That’s why I’m cautious even after the selloff. High multiples can be justified by strong growth, but if earnings or free cash flow growth slows, valuation compression can still hurt even a great company

Well said. AI may create a powerful long-term growth cycle, but not every company riding the theme will eventually win. Sustainable earnings, free cash flow and a durable moat are what I believe will separate the long-term compounders from the temporary hype.
