With two more trading days to go to round up 2022, its timely to look for alternatives for the coming new year no ?
To look from the stockpile of Technology, Finance or even Semi conductors seemed a tad predictable no ?
Why not venture out of the comfort and into the "alternate" zone instead.
While we are at it, how about throwing "condition" of quarterly dividend payout as well ?
How does that sound ? Cool right !
And just like that, i started my homework with the conditions as criteria.
Above all, I have not forgotten the investment-safety mantra of looking into "good, established" companies.

- Its listed on the S&P 500 Consumer Discretionary. A pedigree stock - yes !
- It was established back in 1899. This Grand Dame is an institution by itself.
- It pays a generous dividend of US$2.04 per share. Its dividend is even more generous than $Apple(AAPL)$ . No need to mention $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ - does not pay dividend at all.

- Looking at its latest earnings out, it is not fantastic. However it is not making a loss unlike VFC's peers.
- Despite the latest lacklustre quarterly earnings, $VF Corp(VFC)$ is still on target with its dividends payout to its shareholders
- When it did not meet Wall Street expectations, the wrath of the Wolves caused the stock to tumble.
- Other analysts sees "value" in VFC as a result of the stock price tumble, when compared to its stock price on 03 Jan 2022.
