With Xiaomi finally clearing 17 hkd resistance level, the shortsellers' average price of 16.5 hkd will face a negative suprise on the upside. Some of them would likely close this position before the weekend and give the share price of Xiaomi another push. When I was looking at the past price history, Xiaomi came down from 20 hkd to below 17 hkd rapidly. The reverse may jolly well happen rapidly and I will not be surprised to see Xiaomi breaking above 20 hkd.
