Like everyone else, I joined 🐯 Brokers because of the free🍎 share🤩😍 Don’t we Singaporeans just love our freebies🤭 After setting up my account, I told myself I was going to start with a clean slate as my portfolio in 2021 was plagued with🩸more than profit💰 I wanted to try investing in a different way so I set 2 🎯goals for myself:

(1) To preserve my capital & not make any realised losses if possible😅😅😅

(2) To aim for smaller gains of 4-5% (after fees) & do small regular trades to build my profit up gradually🐢✅🐰❌ The exception to my 🎯profit% is when I’m very confident in the stock’s potential.

I know many of you 🐯🐯🐯 are going WHAT-not make any realised losses⁉️ That’s impossible & don’t be ridiculous-Stopping loss is an important investment strategy‼️✋Wait-Yes I totally understand the importance of stopping loss because I did it previously before I joined 🐯Brokers & no-I’m not encouraging you my fellow 🐯🐯🐯 to do the same because you can get 🔥🔥🔥 badly.

📝 As of 8 Dec:

📝 Rate of Return: -7.11%🫠🫠 but I beat Nasdaq’s return by +8.62%🤗

🤨 Not an excellent result but I choose to be 

c🥰ntent❣️I choose to focus on learning continually to be a better investor in the future🤓 instead of beating myself up in this 🐻 market😅

📝 Of my top 5 profitable stocks, 3 of them were ASX stocks🇦🇺 & 2 were 🇺🇸 stocks😉

What Did I Learn In 2022 As I Re-Started My Investing Journey with 🐯 Brokers❓

🥇Setting investment 🎯goals & having a plan to achieve it is very important❣️If not for my 🎯goal of capital preservation, I wouldn’t have a guiding plan to help me make my daily investing decisions🤓 I would be like a 🚢 without a rudder, tossing around in the 🌊🌊🌊 aimlessly, following the crowd/analysts & making mistakes.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Because of my 🎯goal of capital preservation:

(1) It forces me to choose my stocks wisely & to sell at break-even price if I’m uncertain about the stock’s future rather than having to cut loss later.

(2) I have become more disciplined in researching about the stocks I buy, considering different viewpoints-company’s fundamentals, 📰, investing climate for sector, analysts’ reviews (I take with a pinch of🧂-it affects the stock prices a lot but not the company’s actual potential) & etc. Thus, I have confidence not to panic-sell in a 🐻 market & to wait for recovery💪💪💪 I’m glad that I was able to offload some of my bleeding stocks🩸from April-May to sell them at break even price/profit🥳🥳🥳
