On March 21st, in 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, China, ranked 88th in the world, drew with Singapore, ranked 156th, despite leading by two goals.
Fun Fact:
Singaporean players are part-time players!
The captain of the Singapore men's football team, Harris, works as a real estate agent.
According to data released by the real estate company, he won the “top sales performer” in January of this year, with sales commissions reaching five figures that month.
Singapore's goalkeeper, Hassan, who is already 39 years old, also runs a business selling coconut rice and helps out at the stall during the off-season.

That the right spirit that brings victory to Singapore team! What an amazing game. It was never just about the result, but the heart.
Everyone was amazed by Singapore came back from two goals down to hold China to a 2-2 draw at the National Stadium. Well, Singapore's fight to a 2-2 draw against China in their World Cup Qualifier clash tastes all the more sweeter given recent struggles.
What stood out was the Lions' desire to prove their mettle. And this was a thoroughly encouraging performance amid what has been a difficult few years for Singapore football. Impressively, Singapore showed no signs of being overawed by opponents bigger in stature and higher in the world rankings. Down two goals to the good, the Lions did not fold or shut up shop to limit the damage.
Hope everyone no matter who and when doing what, we should learn the Tiger's fighting spirit either in our life, family, work, investment journey etc. We can, and we will do our best to make it! Gogogogo!!! 🥅🧤⚽🎯

Definitely easier to win the sales crown than the World Cup. Sales crown is individual work which is easier to be confident of a team sport that requires everyone to be good.
Support lions in spirit! But they really have a long way to proving themselves! Hard to deny that their results have been abysmal for decades…
I think it's ok having a full-time job while playing part-time. it's about passion...
athletes retire early so they need a backup as upon retiring from the sports they will have an anchor to make a living...
