Waaaay overvalue lah bro and sis 👍👍👍

$Space Exploration Technologies Corp(SPCX)$

This SpaceX IPO around $1.77 trillion valuation, $135 per share… looks like full-on hype rocket already. Price-to-sales 94x on 2025 revenue, really gone case kind of level already. Q1 2026 still bleeding also — about $4.27 billion net loss somemore.

Not even pure space company anymore lah, now become mixed bag — SpaceX plus Elon side quests like xAI and X all bundled in. But public still pay premium like sure win, when actually still burning cash.

Governance also no power one — Elon still hold like 82.4% voting control via dual-class shares. Retail investors basically just sit inside the rocket, cannot touch steering wheel.

Only 5% float also very “engineered” — small supply, big demand story, easy to create illusion one.

End of the day, more like hype machine IPO than real value play. Everyone think “to the moon”, but also got chance become long-term bag-holder if expectations fly too far.

Then index rule also come in already 👍👍👍

S&P say “not so fast lah” — SpaceX cannot just jump into benchmark index early, must follow existing rules.

So basically:

Rocket can fly to space, but index door still say “go queue first” 🚀📉

SpaceX IPO Countdown Hammers Space Stocks — Long or Short?
Space-proxy equities slid as SpaceX's IPO approaches: Rocket Lab tumbled 6.99% Wednesday, while ASTS, SPCE, and RDW extended losses overnight. Noted short-seller Steve Eisman called SpaceX's valuation "absurd" relative to Nvidia's, and Jefferies has begun facilitating bearish positioning across the space sector. With an epic IPO narrative on one side and prominent contrarian voices on the other, would you use RKLB or ASTS to front-run the listing — or side with the shorts?

This is a specific Elon’s retailers 🪤 trap. Elon Musk had tasted yummy 😋 pudding from retailers (I don’t call these people investors because they’re not. Just blind followers.), Elon thinks this will be a better way to milk those same followers. If he could attract more into his universe, why not? I see similarities between this Elon and Trump’s behaviour. For Trump, it is tax the allies and respect his foes. For Elon, it’s more ruthless. Milk as many faithful followers as possible to enrich himself. That is exactly why he has set the absolute IPO price at an affordable $135. Many retailers don’t really understand valuation. What they see is just the absolute price and thought they have bought something super cheap! Thinking that this would be another $10,000 stock in the making… the banks are not helping (of course not, they benefit from the deal), using 10 years “prediction” valuation. Might as well buy lotto or Toto. Higher winning chances… this won’t end well. [Facepalm][Spurting

That’s right! I am concerned this will lead to crash in the entire market

Yes… me included [Facepalm][Spurting] I always got my timeframe wrong when shorting against him [Cry]

One thing to watch is liquidity. A SpaceX IPO could attract a huge amount of capital, potentially pulling money away from other high-growth sectors. If investors rotate funds into SpaceX, some AI stocks, speculative tech names, and even cryptocurrencies could face temporary selling pressure

Elon Musk has always been exceptionally good at creating excitement around his companies and squeezing short sellers. Betting against him has been painful for many investors over the years.
    • Shernice軒嬣 2000
Exactly. His followers will likely help push SpaceX shares higher
