Everyone remembers the stock everyone was talking about when they first got into the market.

For some, it was Tesla.

For others, it was GameStop.

Maybe it was Alibaba, NVIDIA, AMC, or something completely different.

So here’s the question: What was the hottest stock when you started investing?

$Palantir Technologies Inc.(PLTR)$ @PawsAndProfits Yes, started off with Tesla back then believing in Elon Musk EV dreams. I was lucky to come across Thiel at the same time, probably optioned my way into both company to get to where my portfolio is right now, learn my lessons through alibaba, didi too. The ups and downs was amazing. Coivd was also an eye opener. Enjoy guys

🌟Dear Tiger Friends, Can you guess  the year I started investing when the hottest, most culturally explosive stock was $GameStop(GME)$ ?  This video game meme stock kingpin delivered a mind boggling, retail driven total return of over 815%!

It was a year when Main Street pit their strength against Wall Street.  It was a time when online retail forums, led by the legendary "Roaring Kitty" aka Keith Gill banded together to trigger a historic, multi billion dollar short squeeze that completely broke traditional Wall Street risk models and sent institutional short sellers into a total liquidation panic.

For a brief intoxicating moment, the online forums & retail "Ordinary Joes" felt completely untouchable.

But the reality of corporate fundamentals reasserted itself.  GameStop dropped like a rock to the bottom of the ocean.

The lesson I learnt was single stock hype is unsustainable. To build wealth, automated diversification is the key to success.

$NVIDIA(NVDA)$ is the hottest to me since its Initial Public Offering in 1999. It has since completed 6 stock splits. These actions turned every single original share bought prior to June 2000 into 480 shares. The most recent stock split was a 10:1 split on 2024 June 10. I hope the company continues to grow. Long live Nvidia! Thanks @TigerEvents @TigerStars @Tiger_comments @icycrystal 🚀🚀🚀

When I entered the market, $Creative(C76.SI)$ sound blaster cards were still in demand and their MP3 nomads were trailblazers.

When I first started investing, the hottest stock everyone seemed to be talking about was $GameStop(GME)$ . It was impossible to ignore the incredible volatility, the retail-investor frenzy, and the short squeeze that turned the stock market into a global conversation.

GME really opened my eyes to how powerful market sentiment, momentum, and retail participation can be. It was also a reminder that the stock market isn't always about fundamentals in the short term—emotion and crowd psychology can move prices dramatically.

Looking back, GameStop was definitely one of the stocks that made my early investing journey memorable. 🚀📈 $GameStop(GME) was my answer! 🐯
