Wilmar International has secured a two-year US$100 million sustainability-linked loan. The interest margin under the facility will be reduced on a tiered basis if Wilmar achieves certain pre-determined sustainability performance targets that cover a comprehensive range of environmental, social and governance (ESG) metrics. According to The Edge, these targets include Wilmar’s internal key performance indicators as well as external benchmarking standards, one of which is its continued inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) World Index. First published in 1999, the DJSI World Index represents the top 10% of the largest 2,500 companies in the S&P Global Broad Market Index based on long-term ESG criteria. Wilmar is a sustainability leader in the agribusiness sector. i hav

One will sleep  soundly through the night or not affected by sleep are those who never invest in USA market I suppose. If you are only trading SG stocks or other Asia markets, maybe you won't be losing sleep at night so much as the market closes at 5:30pm SGT. I lose my sleep the most when I first started. Got excited when US market opens at 9:30pm or 10:30pm SGT depending on season. When one gets excited and being new, the time spent staring at the numbers jumping till late hours sounded quite silly. Days where US news announced such as Non farm payroll, CPI also can cause drastic changes. Worse was, I was an intraday trader and I stupidly traded gold and Fx. The fast movement not only caused me sleepless night but also heart attacks.  Now I remain as long term investor so the

I would think that because Apple products are getting more expensive and the added features in the be phone release aren't fantastic. Hence it direct attract the new and existing users. A new iPhone 15 cost nearly SGD2000 per set which does not come with charger. 😔 Then the new phone does not last as long as the past few models during Steve Jobs's time. That drive away some longtime Apple fans.  That's my opinion.

[Miser]Hello Tigers, How is your income in 2023? increase or decrease? [Allin]Hope it is a happy answer. [Allin]But the main topic we are interacting with today is about Tim Cook, a tycoon worth nearly $2 billion. $Apple(AAPL)$ CEO Tim Cook's earnings in 2023 amounted to $63.2 million, as disclosed in a recent annual proxy statement. However, this figure marked a decrease from his earnings in 2022, where Cook had amassed over $99.4 million. It seems that Cook's income in 2023 dropped significantly compared with 2022.ImageBut in 2023, his target salary was reduced to US$49 million, and he actually received more than this amount. The document shows that the median salary of Apple employees in 2023 will be $94,118.In other words, the salary ratio betwe

Is the Federal Reserve’s restrictive policies nearing an end that money managers are already trading as if rate hikes were a thing of the past? JPMorgan is plowing into equities and at least one Invesco fund has done an about-face from its previous cautious positioning. DataTrek says investors are now betting on individual stocks instead of trading on macro themes. Traders and economists are in near-unanimous agreement that the Fed will raise rates by a quarter percentage point Wednesday. Views diverge on how long the central bank will keep rates high and if another hike by the end of the year will be necessary. But one narrative is clear: The disinflationary process is underway, which means the jumbo rate hikes and volatility that came with them are firmly in the past. Personally I would

$Seatrium(S51.SI)$  I'm opined that $Seatrium(S51.SI)$  would be bullish in the near future for the reasons being the new FLNG vessel. The vessel was previously an LNG carrier but through extensive works carried out here in Singapore, it has now been converted into a four-train FLNG vessel capable of processing 2.7mtpa (or million tonnes per annum,”. It is a promising development/ project  which is sustainable for our LNG reserves  @CaptainTiger @Daily_Discussion @Tiger_Earni
