Last week, our Tiger_SG account published a post about charges against the son of former Singapore Prime Minister. Together with the recent money laundering and corruption scandals, this has inevitably had some negative impact on Singapore's long-standing reputation for a good financial environment and its public integrity.

Fortunately, such incidents are quite rare in Singapore so far, and based on Tigers' comments, we can see that most Tigers are happy living in Singapore and believe it can firmly combat similar criminal activities and maintain its achievements. It's still a wonderful place to be!

Now, let's take a look at what Tigers said about their lovely nation😉!

No illegal transactions or actions are able to escape the eyes of police or CID or CAD. Thumbs up for their actions to keep Singapore safe. Those money launderers thought they are smart to use Singapore as their transist location. But they have underestimate the capability of our police force. As for the illegal or manipulating trading of Goh Jin Hian, it is unfortunate such incident happened. Either he is blinded with greed or he didnt follow the famous Nick Leeson. But he was 26 y o then. 🧐 Anyway, what done cant be undone.

Singapore is a beacon of political stability, low corruption rates and a trusted partner for businesses. Ever since the People's Action Party (PAP) came into power in 1959, we are fortunate that we have a government that place emphasis on rule of law and meritocracy. That's the reason why Singapore has grown from strength to strength and is a country that is dynamic and prosperous. Nobody in Singapore is above the law, even those in power. Whether or not Goh Jin Juan is guilty or not, it is for the judge to decide. As a Singaporean, I am really grateful and happy that I live in a country that is safe in every aspect - from crimes, financial stability and a wonderful place to raise a family. Singapore, my home, my country, I love you so. ❤️❤️❤️

my personal opinion is sg is a great place to be. Low crime rate and u can be safe even walking out at night. Public transport is so affordable and convenient. Been out there and u cannot find a place you call HOME . I am grateful for all the efforts that have been placed for all of us here in sg. There will be always someone who is greedy and overwhelmed with fame and power and do something not welcoming or “ not right “ . I will not judge them as i am who i am. Let the law deal with them if they have abuse or cross the line . 💕🙏🏻

Singapore is known to be a safe and clean country and Singapore has zero tolerance when it comes to corruption and frown upon scandal. it's inevitable such unpleasant news would surface as no place or country is perfect. we hope going forward Singapore will still uphold its integrity as it's known for and strive to be a better nation / country that we are proud of [smile] [smile] [smile]

The billion-dollar money laundering case does raise Singaporeans’ attention that they need to protect themselves from money laundering. This case shows the loopholes that enabled crime syndicate to accumulate wealth including luxury properties and cars. The corruption probe involving Transport Minister does affect the ruling party’s political standing. This is because the party has “zero tolerance for corruption“. Having a Minister under investigation by the anti-corruption agency is bad enough for the party. However, Singapore’s political stability is not affected by the case involving the son of the former Prime Minister. This is because he was not involved in any of his son’s false trading offenses. So this news should not affect Singapore’s ruling party in any way. Bless us all! [Bless][Bless][Bless]
