Morgan Stanley has a conservative approach to making money, focusing on wealth management and underwriting in the technology sector. The company has experienced slow but consistent growth and has a strong track record of raising dividends. However, there are risks involved, including market risk, credit risk, liquidity risk, operational risks, and systemic risk. Morgan Stanley's diversified business model and growth plans make it an attractive investment, despite the volatility of regional banks. The stock offers a 3.6% dividend yield and has consistently outperformed the Financial Select Sector ETF. The investment bank's growth is driven by its ecosystem, which integrates multiple channels and capabilities, and its focus on deepening client relationships. It aims to reach $10 trillion in total client assets, with wealth management contributing around $8 trillion.

🌟🌟🌟In a volatile market, $Costco(COST)$  is a great stock to buy and hold as it is in the Consumer Defensive Sector. Its share price is up 2% today and 22% year todate.

Costco is synonymous for their Value for Money offerings where members pay an annual fee to join.    Costco currently operates 861 warehouses including 591 warehouses in the US, 107 in Canada and the rest in Mexico, Japan, United Kingdom, Korea, Australia, Taiwan, China, Spain, France,   Iceland, New Zealand and Sweden.  Costco also operates ECommerce sites in the US, Canada, the UK, Mexico, Korea, Taiwan, Japan and Australia.

CEO Craig Jelinek will step down in January 2024 and a new CEO Ron Vachris will be appointed.   Craig Jelinek has been working for Costco for 40 years starting off as a forklift driver and oversaw its phenomenal growth and expansion till now.

I like Costco as it has a wide moat due to its membership scheme and it has extensive distribution network and purchasing power.  It ticks all the core fundamentals of a quality stock with good profitability, solid balance sheet and an excellent management team.

Even though the current dividend of 0.74% is not high, Costco share price has grown 141% in the past 5 years.

I also like that Costco is in the Consumer Defensive Sector which is more resilient in economic cycles and is a good hedge against high inflation.
