From Lemonade Stands to Stock Exchanges: The childhood journey of a Dream-Driven Trader:
Picture a young me, growing up in a home where scarcity was the norm, yet my heart was a boundless reservoir of empathy. While my parents often wondered what stray or downtrodden soul I'd bring home next, these experiences forged my unwavering commitment to fairness and justice. As a child, my dreams were vivid and ambitious, filled with visions of a world where equity and kindness prevailed.
From a very young age, I worked any job I could find to earn pocket money and save for a better future. My entrepreneurial spirit saw me delivering newspapers at dawn, crafting witty stories and jokes for the Readerโs Digest, setting up lemonade stalls outside my house, doing odd jobs for neighbours, and mowing lawns. These early experiences were not only financially rewarding but also honed my work ethic and determination.
My initiation into the world of finance was unconventional: I read the New Zealand national newspaper from cover to cover, back in the days when the only distractions were chores and perhaps the occasional rugby match on TV watched with my late Dad. I consumed stock market updates from the New Zealand Stock Exchange like others devoured comic books. This early exposure ignited a fascination with the intricate ballet of markets and the economic forces at play. I dreamed of a future where money wasn't a constraint but a tool to alleviate the financial stress of those around me.
Entering the professional realm, I gravitated naturally towards finance (BNZ investments) and stockbroking (In NZ & Australia). These werenโt just jobs; they were manifestations of my childhood dreams. The same zeal for justice that led me to rescue strays now powered my dedication to ethical investing and sustainable finance. I sought to comprehend and influence the economic mechanisms that could usher in a more equitable world.
Childhood dreams aren't whimsical flights of fancy; they are the blueprints of our future selves. Whether aiming for the stars as an astronaut or aspiring to heal as a doctor, these dreams encapsulate our core values and aspirations. My early visions of a just world have indelibly shaped my investment philosophy. I am steered by a commitment to ethical practices, sustainability, and community impact, reflecting the empathy and justice I cherished as a child.
My investment strategy is firmly rooted in the principles of fairness and equity. To achieve this, I invest in any stock that promises a profitable return. This approach not only aligns with my values but also positions my portfolio for long-term growth in a market that increasingly values conscientious investments. The habit of continuous learning and adaptability, honed from my newspaper-reading days, keeps me ahead in the ever-evolving financial landscape.
In this vibrant community of Tiger traders, we draw strength and inspiration from our shared experiences. Together, we can transform our dreams into realities, fostering a more equitable and prosperous world for all. Letโs continue to dream, invest, and grow, guided by the values that make us who we are. Childhood dreams are the seeds we sow, in the garden of life, watch them grow.
But now I realized that is the wrong method, I must work smart and invest my money in the stock market then my childhood dream will be a reality. Will Tiger help me?
to be honest I dnt manage money very well as a young girl!
my only dream was to play the piano then..
I even had a real dream of this big house facing the sea with a grand piano in the middle of a room!
I given up such dream despite it being so real yet it's too materialistic.
I can only remain thankful that now I can manage my money better..
Now, as an adult, I dream of being a millionnaire. I worked hard, saved some money but not enough to be a millionnaire.
Will Tiger fulfil my wish of dreams?
In many ways, investing is very similar to discovering unknown stocks that could multiply my wealth a hundred fold! Sometimes these stocks could be found in the things we use or even in the food we eat. Good examples are $Coca-Cola(KO)$ and even $McDonald's(MCD)$.
But often times we have to dig deep with research. Dreams can become reality if the passion is there. How wonderful it would be if I can discover the next Multi Bagger!

As an athlete, I learned the importance of a calm demeanour and patience, whether waiting for the perfect moment to make a play or an investment. The ups and downs of sports taught me to stay focused and maintain a long-term perspective, crucial for navigating volatile markets.
Interestingly, my passion for sports transitioned into my investment strategies. Just like analysing an opponent's strategy, I study market trends and company performances before making decisions. Who knew my childhood dream of being an athlete would prepare me so well for the financial arena?
While I didnโt initially dream of being an investor, the principles I learned from sports have significantly influenced my approach. ๐ฏ Like in sports, investing requires patience, practice, and perseverance. ๐
