🌟🌟🌟A Big Thank You to @TigerTradingNotes for the invitation to share my reflection of 2024 and my plans for 2025. 

2024 has been a phenomenal year for me as the US and Singapore markets hit new highs.  There are 3 memorable transactions that I have done in 2024.  They are SOFI, Tiger Brokers and Terawulf.

SoFI

$SoFi Technologies Inc.(SOFI)$  share price has been on a tear in  2024.  It has reached a 52 week high on December 19 at USD 17.04.  SoFi has risen 70% in 2024.  I have been fortunate to catch this amazing stock and I am currently up 74%.

Why is SoFi on a strong upward trajectory in 2024?

One of the main reasons is the Feds recent rate cuts have significantly boosted SoFi by alleviating pressure on its lending business.  Lower interest rates reduce borrowing costs, encouraging more customers to take loans and refinance existing ones.

In addition to that, the reduced cost of capital supports SoFi's ability to expand its lending capabilities while maintaining competitive interest rates. 

SoFI has announced on December 17 2024 that it now serves more than 10 million members across its suite of products and services.  This is more than 9 times in less than 5 years. 

In Q3 24 SoFi reported an excellent quarter with Net Revenue increasing by 30% to USD 697 million.  Q3 24 adjusted EBITDA grew 27% to USD 186.2 million.

Net interest income of USD 431 million for the quarter was up 25% year over year, driven by 35% increase in average interest earning assets.

There has also been strong institutional buying and SoFi may soon be included in the S&P400 Mid Cap Index.

I believe that SoFi is well positioned to grow exponentially in 2025 and beyond due to its excellent technology platform and it will see further growth in its member numbers.  Wall Street Analysts are also bullish on SoFi and expects SoFi's earnings per share to more than double from 13 cents per share in 2024 to 28 cents per share in 2025.

TIGER BROKERS

Tiger Brokers $Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$ has had a strong year with its share price up 57.5% in 2024 and a huge 25% in December.

In Q3 24, Tiger Brokers' total revenue reached USD 101.1 million.  This is a historical high and represents an increase of 15.6% and a year over year growth of 44.1%.  Net income attributable to shareholders reached USD 17.8 million, representing a quarter over quarter growth of 584.6% and a year over year growth of 34%.  Non GAAP net income amounted to USD 20.1 million, a quarter over quarter increase of 286.5% and a year over year increase of 25.6%.

For the quarter, Tiger Brokers added 50,500 customers with deposits.  This is more than double from a year ago.  The total number of customers with deposits at the end of the quarter was over 1 million.  Due to strong net asset inflow from retail clients, total account balance further increased 6.7% quarter over quarter and 115.9% year over year to USD 40.8 billion.  This is another historic high.

Tiger Brokers continue to add new products in order to enhance user experience.  In Singapore, Tiger Brokers introduced the Tiger BOSS Debit Card in September.  This allows users to manage their investment portfolio more conveniently and  seamlessly bridging daily spending, wealth management and stock investments. 

Another new product that was introduced recently was Tiger Brokers ' Cash Boost Account.  This account supports Contra trading, a strategy highly favoured by Singapore investors.  This is the first online brokerage in Singapore to offer this service.

Tiger Brokers have also won many awards.  It has been recognised as the Number 1 company in the "Wealth Tech" category on Fortune's augural Asia Fintech Innovators of 2024 list.  This award has been specially curated by Fortune's editors and highlights 60 of Asia 's most dynamic financial services companies.

In November 2024, Tiger Brokers received the SBR Executive of the Year - Digital Trading Platform Award in recognition of its CEO Ian Leong.  Under him, Tiger Brokers' platform became a trusted platform for Singapore investors as 1 in 3 adults in Singapore now use the Tiger Trade App.

In 2024, Tiger Brokers celebrated its 10th anniversary with over 10 million users worldwide with Assets Under Management of USD 40 billion. 

I believe that Tiger Brokers is undervalued due to its growth trajectory and its  laser focus on increasing its product offerings.  Tiger Brokers also continue to invest in innovations and technological advancements.

There is also the tailwind from Chinese authorities ' stimulus measures to support the stock market.  This includes the RMB 800 billion in liquidity support which is a RMB 500  billion swap facility for brokers and funds, and a RMB 300 billion refinancing facility for companies and shareholders.

Tiger Brokers is in a much stronger position now than 10 years ago.  I know it first hand as a daily user and as an investor. 

TERAWULF

Terawulf $TeraWulf Inc.(WULF)$  is a Bitcoin Miner with a difference.  It uses zero carbon energy sources which includes hydro electric and nuclear power to mine its Bitcoin.  In addition to that, Terawulf is currently undergoing  a strategic transformation as it expands into the rapidly growing AI and High Performance (AI/HPC) sector.  It is Terawulf's aim to deliver industry leading economies of scale in mining and data center operations at an industrial level.

In its Q3 24 Earnings, Terawulf increased its Revenue by 42% to USD 27.1 million compared to its previous quarter of USD 19 million.  Cost of Revenue increased to USD 14.7 million for the quarter compared to USD 8.3 million in Q3 23.  Total self mining hashrate capacity was 10.0 EH/S as of September 30 2024, representing a 100% increase compared to previous year period.

Even though Terawulf has dropped 9% for the week, it is still  up 153.9% in 2024.  Terawulf's performance as a Bitcoin Miner is very much tied to the performance of Bitcoin.  Bitcoin has fallen below USD 100,000 from its record breaking high of USD 108,000 achieved on December 8.

I am glad that Terawulf is expanding into the fast growing AI/HPC sector as it will provide the Bitcoin Miner with an additional source of income.  This will reduce its dependence on solely mining Bitcoin.

Nonetheless I am bullish on TeraWulf as in January 2025, President Elect Donald Trump will be in power and he has indicated his full support for Bitcoin and the crypto industry.  Trump has also appointed Paul Atkins as the new SEC Chairman who is known for his support of Cryptocurrencies.

With Terawulf, I have the best of both worlds - Bitcoin mining and provider of Data Center for AI/HPC.

One Word To Describe My Transactions for 2024

Amazing!  It has been an amazing year for me as many of my stocks and ETFs have hit new highs.  For example all my Singapore Bank Stocks have hit new highs in 2024.

What is My Prediction for 2025?

I believe that 2025 will be a great year following 2024's fantastic growth in the markets.

I would monitor the following sectors :

1) AI and Quantum Computing.  The AI market is expected to grow from USD 200 billion to USD 1.8 Trillion by 2030.  The stocks that I would monitor would be the Magnificent 7 which are leaders in this field.

2) China and Emerging Economies - China stocks are undervalued and oversold.  I like $Alibaba(BABA)$  $Tencent Holding Ltd.(TCEHY)$  Xiaomi and JD. com.  Under Emerging Economies, India is growing exponentially due to its young population and the growing wealth in the Middle class segment of the population.  I have invested in FLIN Franklin FTSE India ETF.

3) Inflation and Interest rate - The Feds are concerned with inflation and hope to see the inflation down to 2%.  However with the new Trump administrator imposing tariffs on imports from other countries like China, Mexico and even Canada, it would be inflationary for the ordinary Americans.

4) Geopolitical conflicts and US China relations - these would impact the stock markets.  I hope 2025 will see a resolution to the war in Ukraine and the Middle East.  I also hope that US will have a better relationship with China.

I invest with optimism and belief that even though the markets maybe volatile in the short term, they will continue its upward trajectory in the long term with the magic of compounding.  That is how Warren Buffett became a billionaire.  Buy and Hold is my strategy to achieve my goal of FIRE - Financial Independence Retire Early.
