CES Ignites the Market! Will the New RTX 50 Bring More Revenue for Nvidia?
At the 2025 CES, NVIDIA unveiled the RTX 50 series GPUs based on the Blackwell architecture, including the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080. After Jensen's keynote speech, $NVIDIA(NVDA)$ surged to an new all time high of $153.67 in pre-market trading.
Based on the latest 12-month price targets from 40 Wall Street analysts, the average target for NVIDIA’s stock is $177.03.
With AI computing power doubling and prices becoming more affordable, will the RTX 5090 bring in more revenue?
The new RTX 5090, based on the Blackwell architecture, is equipped with 92 billion transistors, offering 3,400 TOPS computing power and 4,000 AI TOPS (trillions of operations per second), priced at $1,999. In comparison, the RTX 4090 has only 1,300 AI TOPS, priced at $1,599.
The RTX 5090 features 32GB of memory and 21,760 CUDA cores, making it the first gaming card to exceed 20,000 cores, while the RTX 4090 has 16,384 CUDA cores.
The GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs deliver a significant performance boost and outstanding value, with the RTX 5090 being twice as powerful as the RTX 4090 and the RTX 5070 offering clear price advantages.
This might be in response to competition from custom chips like $Broadcom(AVGO)$ . However, does this improvement in cost-effectiveness signal a slowdown in NVIDIA’s growth?
