    Whatever the earning results, the market is always Forward Looking.  The results may be excellent yet the stock price can be shorted down on day of release making us retail investors wondering why

    $Palantir Technologies Inc.(PLTR)$  

    4Q21

    Net income = -$156.188M (why no articles mention this[Surprised] )

    Revenue = 432.867M = 34% increased Q/Q

    I think the stock fall is due to the bad 4Q21 net income compared to 4Q20, which is -148.343M = about -5.29% .

    But if u look at YTD 21 vs YTD 20, it's  actually quite a huge improvement... Though they are still making net income losses [Happy] 

    Cash flow look good to me.

    Overall, I would say it's not doing that bad...

    But, maybe "big investors" expect it to turn green on the net income for 4Q21... so it may be quite disappointing.

    I believed that it will make further great improvement for 2022 onward.

    Long term investors, I think u do not need to worry that much.

    Well, I may be wrong. Just sharing my view[Grin]  & also for some tiger coins[Sly]

      Though, I checked their past records... they are not making any profit even before listing on the market [Speechless]

    DBS recently released its earnings results on 14 February and it was truly an outstanding report!  DBS net profit rose 37% to SGD1.39 billion, topping the SGD1. 36 billion forecasted.  Earnings for the full year surged 44% to hit record SGD6.8 billion.

    The best part is DBS has declared a dividend of 36 cents a share for 4th quarter up from 33 cents in 3rd quarter.  Therefore the annualised dividend will rise to SGD1.44 per share, an increase of 9%.

    DBS share price has also hit a record high of 37.00 dollars too.  Analysts from Goldman Sachs that DBS share price will hit 40 soon.

    I have held DBS stock for over a year now from 25.00 and seen it jump to its present level.  It is so exciting to know that I have made the right choice when I invest in DBS. 

    Go Long, Go Strong, Go DBS!  That's my maxim.

    Based on the financial report for $ASCENDAS REAL ESTATE INV TRUST(A17U.SI)$, the company’s profit margin is high. can consider to buy the stocks as the price is low and the dividend is high.

    Another earnings play using options is straddle, buy long call and puts at same strike price, with expiration one month to earnings date and expired after earning. It will profit either price have large upside or downside

    Earnings reports have been having the opposite effect than expected. Companies which make good profits and have good forward revenues almost immediately see a drop in their share prices. Ridiculous.

    Market is crazy. Good report also price drop like $NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$, lousy report like $Meta Platforms, Inc.(FB)$ then drop even more. Buying a stock is like a vote of confidence
