The internet & media have been inundated with all things “artificial intelligence” (AI) lately.

First it was “ChatGPT”, next it was “Bard”. Even $NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ jumped into the fray with what’s known as “AI chip” - really ?

Wonder what’s in-stored next for investors & readers alike ?

Coming back to my post before I digressed again… hee hee !

  • For starters, it already has a company logo (see above); that’s “nice” !

  • ChatGPT is an artificial-intelligence chatbot developed by OpenAI

  • OpenAI was founded in 10 Dec 2015

  • Founders were Sam Altman,

    Ilya Sutskever,

    Greg Brockman,

    Wojciech Zaremba,

    Elon Musk,

    John Schulman and

    Andrej Karpathy.

  • Incidentally Andrej Karpathy used to be Tesla’s Director of Artificial Intelligence and Autopilot Vision. He left in Jul 2022; a “blow” to Tesla that mr musk refuted. He needed to deny for the sake of Tesla stock price no ?

  • ChatGPT is built on top of [OpenAI's] GPT-3 family of large language models.

  • On 30 Nov 2022, it was launched officially as a prototype.

  • By 04 Dec 2022, user counts reached 1 Million.

  • By Jan 2023, user counts reached 100 Million; making it the fastest growing consumer application to date.

  • When it comes to quickfire predictive analysis, ChatGPT might just be the tool to use.

  • It is not emotional (for now), allowing its focused processings & “analysis” based on available facts mined from the Internet “Universe”.

  • Along with other criteria / x-factors thrown into the mix before coming up with a proposed reply

  • Unlike human analysts where pre-disposed shortcomings [ (a) in-dept facts knowledge due to insufficient homework or (b) bias-ness ] of all forms might cloud the final outcome

  • The “real” challenge is whether ChatGPT is discerning enough to appreciate the concept of time to de-prioritized “intuitively” super old & outdated news that it has mined versus placing a heavier weightage / importance on recent happenings to a stock.

  • In time to come, all these may not become a concern anymore.
