$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ TSM> Meta to "accelerate infrastructure investments" for AI, raises Capex to $35bn-$40bn. Zuckerberg said Meta "should invest significantly more over the coming years" in AI. hmmmm.. I wonder who’s building their custom AI chip for them? Meta is going further down the road with their custom AI chip rollout for their major platform shift centered around AI. Google, Microsoft, and Amazon are on similar paths. Whether Nvidia or AMD chips are effected by this dynamic doesn’t matter because at the end of the day TSMC is building these high value custom AI chips for ALL of the above. Qualcomm and Intel are also going to add more of a ca
$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ TSM needs an operational North American Fab. I don't know, if China invaded Taiwan. The easiest thing for NATO would just be to destroy the Taiwanese Fab if invaded by China. It's not very likely. But a possible reality. I would own TSM. But Geo Political Tensions make it difficult for long-term portfolio ownership like that. That's a hard 10 on the risk scale.
$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ The situation seems clear. TSM is the class act in manufacturing the most sophisticated AI chips guaranteed to be in short supply for the foreseeable future. Over time Intel and others will inevitably 'catch up'...but for now there is no significant competition for production of the highest end chips. The downside...geopolitical risk, is negligible for the moment since it's simply not in China's interest to precipitate a geopolitical crisis.TSM is undervalued.
$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ It's hard to psych out TSM's global manufacturing expansion. Many variables & little information. This could be partly political (and I'd place the Arizona expansion here--I doubt TSM would have selected the US Southwest to expand manufacturing without significant financial help from the US Gov't and political pressure from that same Gov't), and partly insurance (nice to have alternatives with the "People's Army" staring at you). I think they will go through with the deals...whether they should or not is another matter. One additional factor in favor of diverse manufacturing sites are the earthquakes. It's been hard to miss the repetitive shocks that have hit Taiwan over the pa
$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ Agreed with sentiment-TSM is a card to hold. I wonder, given Japan’s economic woes, if this will serve to help or hurt TSM’s investment with them? Conventional wisdom says it’s a win for Japan but is there such a thing as conventional wisdom in this age…perhaps TSM rethinks the deal, trims its investment amount? Thoughts?
$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ $DJIA(.DJI)$ $NASDAQ(.IXIC)$ $S&P 500(.SPX)$ TSM is the world’s leading semiconductor foundry company. The company provides wafer manufacturing, wafer probing, assembly and testing, mask production and design services. TSMC’s products are used in computer, communication, consumer electronics, automotive and industrial equipment industries. The business model adopted by TSMC means that the company does not design, manufacture, or market any products under its own name and thereby guarantees its customers that it
$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$What about us users who locked up all of their TRIAS in TSM Galactic campaign ? Can’t even exchange my TSM airdrop yet to stake on GROW TDO and can’t even migrate my bag … the timeline is not synchronized at all.The TSM lock up is locking our hands 100% right now so what’s the plan ?
$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$Cos may have missed but guides are up. The more cyclical names in autos, industrials, analog, etc telling us that business is troughing this quarter or next. See TXN, NXPI, TER, etc. TSM pointed to weak autos so if those are recovering and GPU demand is up, watch out.
$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$Not as complex as an Iron Butterfly, lol!I just sold a put spread and a call spread, with the idea that the stock would stay in a range. Worked out fine but not advisable on such a volatile security unless done the morning of, or at most, night before expiration. I learned the hard way on NVDA, which is currently giving me fits. One of those “plead with the Almighty and never again” situations, lol.

It's probably a good idea to have manufacturing backups.
Institutional Crazy Operation Review: Buying Call Options on the Plunge, Making a Huge Profit
This article mainly includes three parts: the mystery behind Nvidia's surge on Friday, the position adjustment of institutional big orders after earnings reports, and the prediction for the market in the first week of May.Market Review: $NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ Let me admit a mistake first. I said last Friday that Nvidia would likely close between $800 and $840, but it actually surged to close at $879. What happened?Because I didn't confirm the changes in option positions on Wednesday and Thursday. In fact, when Nvidia's stock price fell below $800 on Wednesday, the open interest for the $840 and $850 call options increased by 14,000 and 11,000 contracts respectively. So on Friday, with the perfect timing, market conditions and bullish sentiment, the st
$Intel(INTC)$Also, the utilization for intc is so low, intc will lose money on the chip it produces, you spent more money to lose money. $Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ and Samsung can produce much advance chips and a lower cost.Just look at the Global fundary that spits from AMD, Global fundary can produce chip up to 13 nm only because it wants to make money not losing money.Intc should spins off the fundary business.[What][What][Cool][Cool]

🌟🌟🌟It has been an action packed week with the US markets closing on a high note on Friday led by Big Tech. Semiconductor stocks have done well led by star performer $NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ up 6% today and in the past 5 days it has risen 12%. Nvidia has jumped 82% year todate and in 2023 it was up a whopping 222%. It has been an epic year for Nvidia as its share price has been sizzling hot. Nvidia holds more than 95% market share in workstation Graphics Processing Units (GPUs), 94% market share in data center GPUs and more than 80% market share in AI processors. Nvidia has announced severa
Selling covered call options (sell covered call) is a strategy adopted by many large funds. It can also be used by retail investors in the US stock market. You can get income while holding it. This strategy is very suitable for stocks that have long-term positions, but they have not moved but they are not in a bearish position recently or are in a bearish position recently. It can be a good strategy for mature investors to roll over when holding some targets for a long time. Income comparison Assume that investors hold 200 shares of Amazon from January 1 to December 17, 2021 If there is no operation during the holding period, the final total assets will be USD 675,484 If the covered call strategy is carried out, it will be operated once a week; if 100 shares are sold after the exercise, ano
$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$Be interesting since INTC $Intel(INTC)$ said 14A will be the same time TSM's A16 will in 2026.I just want to see some evidence they're catching TSM - Just like the rest of the market.Foundry is going to be crucial since x86 and cloud ain't going to do it for growth.
$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$A MSFT $Microsoft(MSFT)$ miss will just lead to a 1-2% fall that won’t hold. Semis are still going to report strong. They are working at max capacity and unlike TSM other semis haven’t had any problem this quarter. They will help the market recover from any other earlier earnings problems
