As the Min for MND, your one comment that govt will take back the HDB after the lease ends has sent property owners a shock. LHL came out to announce VERS in a bid to salvage the situation. It is clever to say this policy has another 20 years before the first batch of HDB will be impacted. I'm not even sure if LW can last that long not to mention what is the future holds for owner like myself. For now congrats to both and hopefully we will see a better Singapore in 20 years time. Congratulations and Felicitations to Lawrence Wong, the 4th prime minister of Singapore! As a public servant, he was well known for his strong policy work and grasp of economics. Some even saw him as a policy wonk, or someone with a particularly keen interest in the finer details of policy. A few key challenges will test Lawrence Wong capabilities. They are not easy but I do trust Lawrence will bring us over them and will make Singapore better and better, without doubt. I identify one of the major is, navigating China-US rivalry may be challenging for the new Singaporean leadership. This is especially so if the two major powers attempt to pressure the island-state to take sides, a point that the current Prime Minister Lee has drawn attention to publicly several times. We also have too many foreigners in sg ! Singapore is not  place to absord so many foreigners to come here to work . We are too small an island . We need more breathing space !

Please show more compassionate for those lower income families and provide them more help to overcome the high inflation rate. Those lower income families are always “forgotten” by the government or they have no clue which organisations to turn to for more assistance. They are not that well informed as compared to those highly educated families. The hike in GST impacted the nation but the greatest impact are those lower income and elderly folks. Some elderly folks are staying alone or have mobility issue. PM should not just be overjoyed with his new high salary but he should spread his love to the unfortunate. My pleasure to congratulate Mr Lawrence Wong for a well deserved promotion to Prime Minister Singapore officially on 15 May 24. He has consistently achieved high levels of performance and has demonstrated the required competencies to take on a high level of responsibility, one of the greatest achievements is he was taking charge in measures control during the unprecedented pandemic COVID 19. Singapore each saving account is protected up to 100K by SDIC. Interesting AD in the MTR train regarding SDIC. I don't see any problem from bank in Singapore, including new digital banks like Trust Bank.

Besides maintaining a neutral stance in the eyes of the world,  assuring stability and good communications with neighbouring countries are imperative. PM Wong has that peaceful demeanour and calmness to tackle issues of contention.
