Singapore Lions Can Roar With Pride Once Again

🌟🌟🌟Football is the most popular game in the world with an estimated following of 4billion fans.  The Singapore Lions can roar with pride once again even with a 2-2 Draw against China in their World Cup Qualifier clash.  This Draw is a lot more sweeter given that Singapore Lions came back from 2 goals down at the National Stadium to equalise the score.  This shows courage and determination even when it seems that the odds are against the Lions after the first 2 goals by China. I am simply amazed at the performance of the Lions given that China is supposedly a better team with a higher ranking than Singapore.  Even more so when the Lions were not full time professional footballers but actually part timers.  Can you imagine the results if the Lions are

Its always a foregone conclusion in world cup matches against China, Thailand and even Vietnam. Our Lions are no match against them in skills and play. Whether part-timers or professionals, our Lion players are  simply just too small and weak to match ther opponents in skills and stamina. Even if all become professionals in Singapore, will they have good teams to play with locally. Our league is a miniscule compared to say the likes of the Engloag FA Cup league or for that matter the Malaysian Football leagues. When we were in the Malaysia Cup, our Lions were exposed to play with all the other Malaysian states and were able to improve on their skills and play. Post- Malaysia Cup, our Lions have just gone downhill. Over the years till today, the Lions have improved but sad to

Congratulations to Singapore team.  Can the failure wake up China team? The fact is that China team become worse and worse. Named as professional national team, however even cannot win the part-time team. There is still a necessary to build China national team and pay high salary to them?

Many fans celebrated the China draw on March 21, which halted the run of defeats! It was fun to watch the Likeable Lions win against Guam last October and helped spur some interest in future games. Singapore’s journey to the 2026 World Cup is an intimidating one with some powerhouses like South Korea and Thailand lying in wait! It will be interesting to watch the Lions and see how they pit their wits against these formidable teams at the National Stadium in Kallang over the next few months. The divide of Lion supporters is growing. In a recent survey 80% of survey respondents felt that football was important to Singapore’s cultural identity, the Baby Boomers (45%) and Gen X (43%) are still standing tall as advocates of football’s significance. However, the support is beginning to wane as

Its indeed not bad to have a draw with a team 80 places up. But it’s too early to confirm that their results will be consistent. Definitely easier to win the sales crown than the World Cup. Sales crown is individual work which is easier to be confident of a team sport that requires everyone to be good. Support lions in spirit! But they really have a long way to proving themselves! Hard to deny that their results have been abysmal for decades…
