      Will Markets Continue the Rally?

US Stocks defied earrings weakness, bouncing off the lows seen earlier in the week, primarily led by Apple, despite Amazon, Alphabet, Microsoft, and Meta Platformsposting large declines. Furthermore, strong earnings from Visa, Pepsi, and McDonald’s also helped bulls turn the tide overbear.Markets also saw a boost from the reported Gross Domestic Product (GDP) numbers, which saw the US GDP grow by 2.6%, beating estimates of 2.3%, and snapping two-quarters of negative growth, and subsequently easing recession fears. For the week, the Dow Jones rose in six consecutive trading sessions to end the week at nearly 6% higher, while the S&P 500 rose 4% and the Nasdaq climbed 2%.The week ahead was packed with a key FOM

Will Berkshire Rock ‘n’ Roll Next Week?

$Berkshire Hathaway(BRK.B)$is not a Dow Jones Industrial Average component given its hefty share price that would overwhelm the index if it is included. Nevertheless, it has significant stakes in a number of the Dow components such as $Apple(AAPL)$, $American Express(AXP)$and $Chevron(CVX)$. Berkshire’s operating earnings rose 20% last quarter from the same period in the prior year to $7.761 billion, though the conglomerate was not spared from recent market turmoils as its investments tumbled into a whopping loss of $10.1 billion in the third quarter. The investment losses are not surprising in the bear mar

Does UBER Q3 earnings worth the surge?

--Does EPS miss means totally miss?$Uber(UBER)$ Q3 earnings 2022 has released before the first day of November. Revenue and profit were more differentiated from market expectations, but they still rose 10% before the market. The main reason is that company's confidence in future and raised its Q4 performance guidance. From the financial performance point of view, it seems that there are some differences? Revenue was US $8.34 billion, up 72% year-on-year.Beat market expectations $8.10 billion, The adjusted gross profit was 3.17 billion US dollars, slightly lower than the expected 3.23 billion US dollars year-on-year; The comparable earnings of US stocks (GAAP) was-0. 61 US dollars.M

$Microsoft(MSFT)$ is a tech company and is badly affected by rapid interest rate hikes. but it is oversold in my opinion if you look at the pnf chart. it may rebound in an early santa rally to cover the gaps (yellow lines). that would be a 8% rally. it has recently bounced off its 2020 support. you can observe the short volume averages are on a decreasing trend. bear in mind any rally would only be a bear market rally unless fed starts to pause or cut rate hikes. my portfolio in october cut losses and made some profitable trades that compensate for the paper losses.  we are in the midst of a santa rally, $S&P 500(.SPX)$ is below its gr

What an impressive record for the Dow Jones Index in October! 14% gain in just 1 month, the highest in 46 years.  It is not surprising considering that the components of the Dow are "creme de la creme" or the best companies in the US.  They are mostly in finance, consumer staples and actually not much tech stocks. My favourite stock in the Dow is $Coca-Cola(KO)$ .  It is not only a Dividend Aristocrat but a Dividend King.  Coca-Cola has been paying increasing dividends for the last 60 years non stop.  That is really an impressive record which is hard to beat.  Coca-Cola is the largest beverage company in the world.  It has evolved and grown with the times by diversifying into sparkling soft drinks, w

With rally in October, Dow looks to close month above 200-day moving average The Dow Jones (DJI), and its tracking index, the SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF $DIA(DIA)$, are looking to close October above their 200-day moving averages, with the DIA on track for its best monthly performance since April 2020. Heading into the final hour of trading DIA sits at $328.20 a share, which is above its 200-day MA price of $326.40. For the month, DIA is on pace to finish higher by 12.8%, which would bring the fund to -10.2% year-to-date and -11.2% from its all-time high, which was experienced at the start of 2022. Moreover, as the fund has rallied in October, investors have poured in additional capital. Over the course of the month, the exchange traded

My portfolio is still in the red since market has already not been doing well for months. I am expecting the market to continue to fall. The food industry at Dow might be my consideration since people would consume them even though there is inflation.

As long as the Feds continue raising the interest rates, the stock market will continue to underperform. Here's why. The key understanding here is that interest rates = cost of borrowing. Many reasons why one might borrow money. Businesses require capital to generate more capital. Individuals need to borrow funds for hire purchase items/large value items. Governments need to borrow in order to finance infrastructural maintenance. All in all, a large part of the economy operates on borrowed money.  What happens then when interest rate rises? Borrowing cost go up. And as with everything, the more expensive something is, the less one would purchase of it. In this case, this leads to less borrowing on the side of businesses, individuals and governments, as well as the incentivasation to s

$DJIA , when momentum turns as decisively as it has over the past two weeks, it does so for a reason, and it doesn't end abruptly. First comes the panic short coverIng, then comes the first wave of FOMO. Next comes the forced covering from margins call and then the next wave of FOMO. Today should be a good day for everybody. Investors who recognized the "buy signal" way back on October 13, can take some well deserved profits and shorts will be able to mitigate their losses by being able to cover at slightly lower prices before the markets take the next leg up. $DIS, for those who are looking for value in the runaway market.$DJIA(.DJI)$  $Walt Disney(DIS)$

I own 2 stocks from the list. $Merck(MRK)$and $Intel(INTC)$. MRK is my lucky charm 🍀🍀 whereas INTC is slowly crawling up. Like a snail 🐌or tortoise 🐢.. slow and steady wins the race. I m looking forward to the day where I can proudly tell others that INTC is also my lucky charm. Judging from the current situation, I think it might take till end of the year or beginning of 2023 to see 🍀🍀. Never say never. I just have to be patience for it to turn from 🩸🩸to 🍀🍀. "When you believe" it will turn 🍀🍀, it will turn 🍀🍀🍀🍀. When that day happens, I will be in cloud 9. 😍😍🥰🥰💗💗💓💓
