My Watchlist [80]: TSM... Cruising towards 174.08?
Hi everyone! I’ll be looking at another semiconductor stock: Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Ltd. (NYSE: TSM) TSM is forming higher highs and higher lows. It recently made new ATHs above 145 but has since come back below this level. I have identified 141.99 as a key pivot to reclaim for the next leg to occur. This was where prior ATHs rejected, and also a recent rejection zone (rejected even during Friday’s session). However, hidden bullish divergence has started to form on the weekly, which is a good sign for bulls. It is also trading in an ascending broadening wedge expansion pattern, similar to other semiconductor stocks such as AMD and MRVL. On the daily chart, the expansion pattern is more visible. TOPAs we all know, cryptos are always a high risk investment with super high volatility. Bitcoin fell for a second day to start the new month and quarter amid rising Treasury yields and strength in the U.S. dollar. The flagship cryptocurrency fell more than 4.76% on Tuesday to $66,134.00, bringing its two-day loss to 7%. Meanwhile, the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield hit its highest level of the year and the dollar, which has an inverse relationship with bitcoin, hit a five-month high. Personally, I think Bitcoin doesn't need much excuse to go through a period of correction after such an explosive performance in Q1. Having said that, U.S. economic data has been stronger of late, all while inflation continues to be a concern. This has resulted in a repricing of Fed expectations, translating to broad-based U.S. dollar demand on the more attractive U.S. dollar yield differentials. April could be tumultuous for crypto and related stocks, particularly mining stocks. Investors are looking toward the bitcoin halving, which will slash the reward, and therefore revenue, of bitcoin miners, in the second half of the month. The event could hurt the performance of miners but historically has set bitcoin up for rallies of 300% or more in the months that follow. I'm a mix of both. At times,I'm impulsive but I take calculated risks and have measures in place to cut my losses if necessary. However,I do not trade in the midst of a short squeeze. I watch on the sidelines with amusement and satisfaction to know that I have indeed identified a short squeeze situation accurately, and credit myself for not jumping in on the FOMO bandwagon and being trapped. There must be a limit and threshold that us investors must set for ourselves. When it is time to exit, it is time to go. Throw those emotions out of the window and SELL. I study the historical data of companies,their financial strength, market capitalisation, analysts target (pinch of salt) in relation to market sentiments, interest rates announcements (CPI / PPE data), FED meeting days and holidays (

So, i believe the biggest issue fundamental investors have is the information they rely on. Often, more often than you think, it's actually wrong, or sometimes it's just calculated in a way you didn't realise. I will use two cases to illustrate, from one investor class... the dividend investor. I look at data every day, and dividend investors are looking for consistent and growing company dividend over time. Personally I want a dividend stock to be doing both. At least once a week, information about the stock I invest in is actually wrong. #arcc last week for eg on one site told me it paid a dividend of only 3 cents per share during 2 quarters of last year, totally wrong. Checking other sources quickly confirmed it to be totally wrong. Moral of the story... don't trust one source of data,

Xiaomi Su7 is selling like hot cakes. It's superb value proposition coupled with its charismatic cofounder, Lei Jun, has drawn Xiaomi much publicity, be it good and bad. Bad likely from competitors... Anyway, I am a strong supporter of Xiaomi, having bought lots of Xiaomi products, be it TV, smartphone, fan, etc. The thing is Xiaomi Aircon is not available in Singapore, otherwise I would have bought it too. All in all, Xiaomi us counter, Xiacy is trading at record volume and is trading at over 11 percent premium to the Hong Kong closing price of Xiaomi, 01810hk counter. I do expect Xiaomi share price to rally as shortsellers may try to close some positions to derisk. Nevertheless, there are likely still be stubborn shortsellers who will act positions.. We shall see.
