$(AMZN)$ Amazon announcing earnings this coming Tuesday after market closes. The AWS (Amazon Web Service) sector is closely watched, and words out there is that they'll probably do well follow suit from Google's Meta gave out their 1st Dividends last quarter and Google followed in this quarter, perhaps Amazon May do the same 🤔. Regardless my money is on Amazon to beat estimates and hopefully guidance too. Waiting for it to pop higher after earning before deciding on the strike I'd wanna sell a covered call option for.
Hi all! I believe May will be a good opportunity window to take profits and sell into any rally as the market correction is coming. It will be good to rotate out of chip AI play. If you still want to stay invested on the long side, it is good to consider non AI chips play that is rallying from a bottom like Tesla$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ SEA $Sea Ltd(SE)$ or even Zoom $Zoom(ZM)$ . These are cash rich companies that will strive in current high interest rates environment and rally even higher once the market perceive their problems solved and value increased. May the market be with you!
$(TSLA)$ Tesla surged after last week’s earnings report despite posting a disappointing financial performance. The company’s stock price soared by over 12% the day after its report and has continued to climb, reaching $168.26, up about 16% since the earnings release. Additionally, it gained over 6% in pre-market trading on Monday. While this rally puzzled many value investors, Tesla supporters celebrated as Tesla’s Full Self Driving (FSD) technology appears to be gaining traction in China. Tesla has historically traded with a high price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio, as its investors focus on the company’s potential beyond just selling cars. They are optimistic about Tesla’s ability to achieve more than just electri
$Mapletree Log Tr(M44U.SI)$ I think the recent poor share price performance is fundamentally driven by market and macro factors and is not solely attributable to MLT. Mapletree Log Tr - This is another counter that I have been added quite a bit due to current depressing markets situation of the higher interest rate environment. I believe price has become super undervalued! Pls dyodd. Mapletree Log Tr - Wah, she is on a continuous selling down pressure! At 1.34, yield is a whopping 6.74 percent looks like a crisis price! NAV 1.39, Gearing below 40 percent. Looks like super oversold! Chart wise, it may go down to test 1.30 than 1.25. Pls dyodd. At current price looks like market is MLT(Mapletree Log Tr) - The rebound was
$CapitaLandInvest(9CI.SI)$ I have added quite a bit for CapLand Investment. Started accumulating at 3.01. I think only time will tell if the Investment is fruitful! Pls dyodd. Total revenue for 1Q24 was stable YoY at $650m Fee income related business revenue was up 7% YoY to $274m. Revenue composition continue to shift towards asset-light fee-based model 7.1B undrawn group cash facilities. Operating cash flow of 198m. The group achieved funds under management of S$100 billion. It aims to grow this figure to S$200 billion by 2028 on the back of organic expansion and strategic inorganic initiatives, such as the selective pursuit of bolt-on or transformative mergers and acquisitions. At 2.63, yield is about 4.56% of which I think
$Alphabet(GOOGL)$ Alphabet, $GOOGL, officially closed above $2 trillion in market cap for the first time ever on Friday. The stock added nearly $200 BILLION of market cap in one day after beating earnings expectations. Alphabet stock is now up 23% year to date, or FIVE TIMES the increase in the Nasdaq 100 index. The main driver of the surge in $GOOGL? A $0.20 dividend declaration and a $70 billion share buyback announcement. As tech giants begin issuing dividends and share buybacks, it almost feels like they are maturing. Tech stocks that were small a decade ago are now blue chips.
$SoundHound AI Inc(SOUN)$In the short term I am a bear, in the long run a bull. I bought in on Jan. 22 at $1.95 and again on Feb. 5 at $1.65. I thought, give it two years it'll be double. Instead, it doubled in 2 weeks and I got out 2 weeks after that from $5.70-$6.35. I think the current price is way over valued and had been thinking about *beginning* to buy back in at $3.50. We were falling real fast towards that and I was beginning to think I would wait til even lower.
Last week, a few tech giants released their earnings, notably Meta, Google, Microsoft, Intel, etc... Next week, we will have another few like Amazon and Apple. Meta Meta disappointed investors last Wednesday with forecasts of higher spending and lower-than-expected revenue, raising concerns that rising costs associated with developing artificial intelligence could outweigh its benefits. The company raised its forecast for expenses this year to support investments in new AI products and the computing infrastructure needed to support them, adding that it expected spending would continue to increase next year. For such, I am short and mid term bearish for $Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$ stock as investors
$ARM Holdings Ltd(ARM)$Earnings CC only 11 days away. It will be interesting to watch the stock movement in that timespan. The company has serious investors (Vanguard, $BlackRock(BLK)$ , $NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ ). Yes, it is still early, but people a lot smarter than the majority of posters on this board have made substantial wagers on the company's success. Do your own due diligence and decide for yourself whether SOUND makes sense in your investment portfolio, but FWIW I have been adding daily to my position since $3.80.

As the Japanese yen exchange rate hit 160 in the early morning of April 29, marking a new low not seen in over 34 years, the Bank of Japan may have started to take action. $Amazon.com(AMZN)$AMZN gets 10 year deal with NBA starting 25/26 season. I’ll say one thing every day AMZN makes the news doing something they don’t just sit around. Look at all the data centers they are building across the US and international as wellThat's the splash I was projecting the first time I heard about the talks, that AMZN gets NBA before earnings. Superficial investment but we all know culture is above all else, and that's a cultural move. This also gives some advantage for AMZN in Chinese market. Didn't think AMZN likely to do $200 immediate post-earnings but with this announcement can bring it to $185ish range pre-earnings and decent earnings can take it rest of way.jon stewart GIF
