Driven by the artificial intelligence boom and stellar earnings guidance, $NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ shares are hitting record highs to $390.

Nvidia may become the seventh U.S. listed company to reach $1 trillion in market capitalization, after only $Apple(AAPL)$ , $Microsoft(MSFT)$ , $Alphabet(GOOG)$ , $Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$ , $Amazon.com(AMZN)$ and $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ ever reached that height.

Can Nvidia Enter the Trillion-Dollar Market Cap Club Tonight?

As of Wednesday's close, Nvidia's market cap stood at $754.3 billion.

But after the company released its first-quarter earnings report and second-quarter earnings estimates, its shares surged more than 25% after the bell and its market value jumped nearly $190 billion to about $950 billion.

Before the bell, $NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ rises to $395 currently. It will reach 1 trln market cap when the stock price rise to $404.

How long can Nvidia keep its “trln market cap” if it comes true?

Let’s look at the example of its predecessor - $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$.

Tesla reached its first trln market cap on 25th Oct. 2021, at the stock price of $315. Tesla kept its trln market cap for 138 days.

Currently, $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ ‘s market cap is $579.7 bln.

Dont think it will reach 1trln by tonight with the market sentiment with the tiny possibility of debt default. But definitely bullish about it in the long term as AI gains steam. Only thing that cannot be predicted is whether better competitors will arise…

yes it can but it will not hold on for long. look at it's PE! this over valuation will burst it's bubble eventually.... still NVDA is a great company, just to pricey now

No, Nvidia won't reach 1 trillion by today, as it needs really a big surge in price to achieve that tonight. However, I believe the share price will slowly move towards the 1 trillion target by this year. It's still in a bullish trend without doubt!

Nvidia has first mover advantage in the development of AI chips based on its core competence around GPU that is capable of sophisticated processing power. With a technology moat, Nvidia should be able to maintain its market leadership in the near to mid term. Hence, I’m hopeful that the company will join the trillion dollar club in a matter of time, not if but when :)

$NVIDIA Corp(NVDA )$ may not reach 1 trillion tonight. but overtime maybe. when it does reach 1 trillion, how long can it stay in that mark? am skeptical that it will stay for long as traders tend to "stir" the market swinging left to right "playing" the market, causing some "chaos" before letting it settle…

will this be the biggest player or the most influential one? this remains something to be seen.
Nvidia has a good start and hopefully, is able to maintain the lead over time. the rise of this stock is partly due to its strong core of products and its role in AI. which other stocks are promising a future as hopeful?
