🌟🌟🌟There is excitement in the air as Tech Giants $Alphabet(GOOGL)$

    and $Microsoft(MSFT)$

will report earnings tomorrow after Tuesday's close.  Analysts are bullish on both companies.  GOOGL is up 34% while MSFT is up 43% year todate.

Both companies have benefited from the AI Frenzy.  Of the 2, I am already invested in GOOGL.  I almost panicked sold when it went down to as low as USD 83 last year but thankfully I did not.  I believe that GOOGL has exponential growth ahead being the number 1 search engine globally, its cloud segment, advertising revenue and AI.  It is currently the most undervalued of the Magnificent 7.  So I will continue to dollar cost average $Alphabet(GOOGL)$  and hold it forever!

am still trying to figure out the best or shall I say the better strategy to employ especially during this season. anything can happen. if it's a company with good proven records, I may invest more. I have had experienced the stock price of some companies going down hill even though their reported earnings were good. I also have had experienced that the stock price went up up up though the "reports card" were the ones you want to hide from parents [OMG] [OMG] [OMG] ain't it funny how the stock world works [Victory] [Thinking] [Helpless] nevertheless, am still figuring out and hopefully someday, one day I may land on "Mars" and find Mr Charismatic Man there with his good friend Aunt Cathie with tons of self-driven Tesla vehicles... gosh... am i still spinning in orbit... Thanks loads @MillionaireTiger for this interesting event❣️ I think a profitable strategy would be to use the bear and bull single-stocks leveraged ETFs to do a short intra-day trade immediately after earnings are announced❣️

Buy the rumor, Sell the news! High amount of volatility expected in the next few weeks. Sticky inflation continue as prices such as food remain high. War continue to drag with high possibility of expanding to even more areas.

Buy their call options before the run up to earnings and sell just before the event. Managed to profit from day trades & swing trades for TSLA & NFLX earlier this week. But next Wed is FOMC so beware of META, MSFT & AMZN’s execution.

During earnings season, tune into the earnings conference. Once it announces good news, quickly buy and once the stock shows the first sign of decline, sell off for a day scalp trade!

thanks  @MillionaireTiger for this event. I went to short Tesla indirectly by selling naked calls a few weeks ago when it was trading at around 280. I sold a very far OTM call in 2024 Jan, at 330 strike. I collected USD 2,600 in premiums on the outset. With Tesla now falling to USD 260, I could close the call position for a handsome profit of USD 800. Why did I enter the trade? Although I had expected TSLA to possibly trend higher on earnings, I thought a lot of the optimism had been priced in, from moving record number of vehicles. chart wise it  around USD 280 looks like strong resistance so I tried to short.

As reporting season begins, my investment strategy is to look for those companies that underperform due to one off short term circumstances.  Some investors tend to get the jitters without thinking about the bigger picture and start selling shares at discounted prices, well below what the stock is valued at in the long term.  I have had many successful trades where this strategy has had a very profitable outcome.

Some investors and traders may choose to take advantage of earnings season by creating trading strategies based on anticipated earnings results. For example, they may buy or sell options contracts or place trades on companies they believe will exceed or fall short of earnings expectations. However, it's important to note that earnings season can be a volatile time for the market, and there is always the risk of unexpected surprises or market reactions.

Noticed that the market is more active with higher volatility during earning season. There are potential trading opportunities: go for strong stocks with dividend payout.

To capitalize on earnings, season opportunities, I usually do my due research, focus on quality companies, pay attention to guidance, and be patient.

I also stay up-to-date on earnings season news and analysis by following financial news outlets, attending company earnings calls, and following earnings season calendars.

Additionally, remember to consult with a financial advisor and do your own diligent research before making any investment decisions.

Hope that helps and wishing everyone huat ah!!!

Earnings report is of particular importance because the trends that influence tend to impact similar businesses. As a result of any new information that might be revealed in an earnings report, sector rotation and other trading strategies may need to be reassessed.
With that said, if you are looking to open a position to trade an earnings announcement, one of the simplest way is by buying or shorting the stock. If you believe a company will post strong earnings and expect the stock to rise after the announcement, you could purchase the stock beforehand.

I don't focus too much on quarter earnings, I just buy and HODL the stocks as long as they're still promising.
