Yes, I was lucky to join the bull run during 2020 COVID pandemic. It was a pure luck because I just started my investment journey in US market during the early phase of COVID time. Due to this uncontrollable pandemic, many great companies share price plummeted and I managed to enter my position at that moment. The return was pretty nice over a short period of time.

However, there's a saying, if the money comes easily, it will go easily as well. A big lesson learnt. Yes, I did made nice profit through my initial phase of investment as the stock market was under a crazy bull during the COVID, then I anyhow buy more and more stocks all the way, believing I can win the whole world money haha. I ended up losing most of my profits in 2022 during the aggressive pullback. Now, I learnt to trade technically and locked profit 😁 when the trend reversed. I am sure that I will do better in similar situation next time.

the key to investment is to have a regular amount to put into the stock which has a strong foundation. we should be looking at a long term gain rather than a short term heart attack [Spurting]

  • I still remember black monday 1987, luckly the previous week i had sold out of a large position so my losses were limited. But then i went all in thinking the worst was over. My first big lesson, its called a dead cat bounce. The market went up a bit then plumetted even lower. Since then i have always been a bit more cautious

It is important to remember that investing in the stock market is not a get-rich-quick scheme. It requires patience, perseverance, and the willingness to weather short-term fluctuations for the potential of long-term wealth accumulation. As Nat Friedman aptly put it, "Pessimists sound smart, but it's the optimists who make the money."

Ultimately, there will always be reasons to be cautious. The optimistic and forward-thinking investors who have the potential to achieve financial success in the stock market. As such, it's essential to remain focused on the bigger picture and to continue investing through both good times and bad, as it's often during the darkest hours that the greatest opportunities arise.

Personally, I already set up a few auto-invest plan via Tiger App $Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$ to encourage continuous investment in a disciplinary manner and ride on the long-term sustainable capital growth. Sharing here is the returns on one of my auto-invest in $Alphabet(GOOG)$ [Sly]

Always have a crash fund to invest during any adverse downturn.  May not buy at the lowest but it works for me in the long-term. Be patient and not panick during any market turmoil.
