Too many great cities too choose just one!

Having had the privilege of working for two international airlines, including Continental Airlines in the USA as a Control tower operations agent at Cleveland International Airport, I enjoyed the unique opportunity to jump on any aircraft, to any destination, on a moment’s notice. Flying for free meant that my days off turned into spontaneous adventures—whether it was a day trip to New York for a quick bite and some sightseeing, or jetting off to explore a new corner of the world. Travel wasn’t just part of my life—it became my life. I've ended up in so many different cities just because flights were full on standby. With every new flight, the world grew just a little smaller.

My travels have taken me across the globe, visiting every major city in New Zealand, Australia, the Pacific, and the United States, except Chicago because every time I ever tried to standby for a flight, it always got cancelled due to the wind. I’m just a few stops short of completing all 52 U.S. states, with a cruise through Alaska being a standout highlight. Alaska’s singular major city is just the beginning—its vast glaciers, towering fjords, and untouched wilderness are nothing short of awe-inspiring. Nature’s grandeur at its finest!

New York? Let’s just say I could give a tour that even locals would envy. I’ve explored every inch of the city, from the iconic Twin Towers (while they stood tall) to the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, Times Square, and every hidden gem. The electric energy of New York combined with its rich cultural landscape has made it one of my all-time favourite cities—where even a day trip can leave you buzzing for weeks.

And then there’s Las Vegas. A city that truly never sleeps, where the lights, glamour, and excitement are around every corner. While I’m not yet set to attend next year’s Bitcoin conference, I’d love to return for the tech-meets-glitz experience. Plus, it’s always the perfect excuse to reconnect with friends in Los Angeles—it’s all about making the most of every trip, right?

Australia? I’ve lived it and loved it. I called Perth home for a time, exploring the unspoiled beauty of Western Australia, from the coral-rich coastline to the world-renowned Margaret River wine region. Melbourne’s laneways and coffee culture make it a must-visit for any globetrotter, while Sydney’s iconic Harbour Bridge, Opera House, and Bondi Beach deliver the ultimate mix of urban chic and coastal bliss. Not to mention the Great Barrier Reef up near Cairns and Port Douglas—it’s like stepping into a vibrant underwater universe. Trust me, swimming with the fish has never felt so luxurious!

The Pacific? Now, we’re talking about paradise. I’ve visited New Caledonia three times, where the Isles de Pines left me breathless with its picture-perfect beaches and crystal-clear lagoons. I’ve been to Fiji five times, and I’ve also experienced the tropical wonders of Rarotonga and Aitutaki, as well as Samoa, where the pace of life slows, and every day feels like a dream come true.

Hawaii is another spot where I’ve become a seasoned traveller, especially after being stuck on standby in Honolulu more than 20 times! At this point, I could practically show you the best of the island with my eyes closed. The blend of laid-back beach vibes and vibrant local culture makes Honolulu feel like a home away from home.

Let’s not forget the Caribbean, where Saint Martin stole my heart. We were supposed to be on a flight to St John out of Newark but the flight was full so he ran down to the next gate and jumped on the flight to Saint Martin. I've had many a crazy gate runs. Watching planes skim the beach at Maho was a thrill like no other, but the island’s colourful local life made it even more special. It’s a true hidden gem in the tropics.

Europe is another chapter in my travel story. While I’ve extensively explored the UK and Belgium, the continent still holds many mysteries for me. Greece, however, is at the top of my bucket list—the promise of ancient ruins, sun-soaked islands, and endless azure seas has me dreaming of my own “Mamma Mia!” moment. From Athens to Santorini, Greece is calling, and I can’t wait to answer.

Singapore was another adventure that left a lasting impression, though I haven’t been in years. Back when I explored it, the city dazzled me with its cutting-edge architecture and rich cultural blend. The food scene alone was worth the trip—and yes, the hawker markets were every bit as delicious as they’re famed to be.

Next up? Tasmania in February, and I’m beyond excited to immerse myself in its rugged beauty. With its untouched wilderness and abundant wildlife, Tasmania promises to be an adventure like no other.

Ultimately, my dream is to combine my love of travel with my passion for trading on Tiger. The idea of analysing markets from the world’s most stunning destinations is the ultimate in multitasking—who says you can’t have it all? After all, isn’t that the beauty of life? Trading profits while lounging on a beach with Wi-Fi and a cocktail in hand—now that’s the life I’m talking about! Ultimate dream!

Happy trails ahead Tigers, the world is your oyster! 🛬🛫✈️🌏🌍🌎 Cheers, BC 🍀

I am never get over some of your great and such interesting stories BC, especially the number of times you have flown first class internationally so many times! Hearing about the first class service and food alone was mesmerising, let alone all the cities you’ve told me about and the fun times you’ve had meeting your friends all over the 🌍🌍🌏. So amazing and so fortunate! 💕

I've been to Australia about 6x. However the country I love going to over and over is Korea! Been there thrice and it's always wonderful to be there. Japan is good for its food, toys and snacks, but I just don't like the sound of the language unfortunately. Korean is somewhat more palatable to my ears. Europe bores me over time. Perhaps I'd wanna go to America once more, though I don't remember it being particularly enjoyable. I enjoyed being in Korea the most.

lol, touring is tiring, especially on your feet. You have to be really enthusiastic to last all day. Europe is great for their siesta’s but when you have limited time you have to try and pack it in. We need to enjoy it at leisure! A foodies tour with limited churches and castles 🤣

🌟🌟🌟Gold Coast, Queensland Australia is my absolute favourite city.  That is simply because it offers a myriad of attractions from the beautiful pristine beaches like Surfers Paradise  with white sands where I can just walk along the  seashore to Theme Parks such as Seaworld Resort, Dream World to  Currumbin Sanctuary where I can cuddle cute koala bears. Then there is the majestic Tambourine Mountains where I can sip wine at one of the local wineries or go for hikes.  Say Good Day to friendly Aussies and enjoy the best and delicious barbies which is short form of barbeque.
Gold Coast is the best place for me to unwind and chill!

I've learned that it's not the where, but the who that makes a trip truly special. Sharing laughter, wonder, and adventures with loved ones – that's the real magic.

Traveling with kids has changed everything. Cities I knew become new again, filled with fresh discoveries. Priorities shift, but the joy remains.

Every trip is a chance to rediscover travel's magic, through their eyes and with those I love.

Istanbul is a city I’d love to revisit for its rich history and vibrant culture. The blend of East and West creates a unique atmosphere, from the stunning architecture of Hagia Sophia to the bustling markets of the Grand Bazaar. Each visit reveals something new, whether it’s a hidden café or a lesser-known historical site.

Cappadocia also holds a special place in my heart. The surreal landscapes, with its fairy chimneys and cave dwellings, are breathtaking. I love the experience of hot air ballooning at sunrise, offering a perspective of the stunning terrain that’s unforgettable. Both places are filled with warmth, hospitality, and a sense of wonder that makes them truly special.

Australia is my favorite tour destination. I have been to Brisbane, GoldCoast, Melbourne and Perth. It is a big country with many nature places to visit. Moreover, the air are fresh and much less pollution too especially in the suburb areas. I love and missed Brisbane. I graduated from University of Queensland which is in St Lucia. Really have lots of good memories from there. Good old days indeed. Will never forget abt it. I will try to visit Brisbane again when the opportunity arise in the future. Cheers. Hope that you love Australia too !

    London & Copenhagen.

London as I m a London gal who loves musical play.

Copenhagen as I m head over heels with the work of Hans Christian Andersen. I will go and have a photo with The Little Mermaid whenever I m at Copenhagen. I have been to his museum and birthplace. Collected stamps at each venue and I still have the booklet.
