I closed $NIO 20240607 7.0 CALL$  ,NIO: collect 2% premium on this NIO covered call after holding for 36 days. Trading in this counter gives whole lot of pain, though collecting 2% premium here, the stock price had retreated 20% from recent peak of $6 to $4.83 now. Will continue to trade cautiously on NIO and keep my exposure smaller over time.

I tested Nio in China shanghai - it was a great experience! Hence somehow at current levels 4-5$NIO Inc.(NIO)$  seems just unjustified as it's showing improved sales.

However, this may be just its beginning of an end, as the EV maker continues to struggle with sluggish sales and worsening fundamentals. The pro’s will just take your money. Buy,hold and in a year or 2 you will have a nice profit. Especially the ones who buy under six. For the ones that are in the hole, sell or let it rest. This is the opinion of a satisfied Tesla Y model owner of 2 years. Love the car. My big question for Li and his team would be what is the production capacity for NIO and Onvo brands currently and how is that expected to increase over time? What capacity do they see for 2025? Perhaps, they r still working out the details, and not ready for public consumption. or maybe, there is nothing there, no one knows for sure. However, if they fail to generate any revenues, realize savings in terms of swap station deployment expenses from these partnerships by the end of q3/25 then it is safe to say that these deals r not beneficial for nio and were just hypes. For now, holding and buying the dips would be the best strategy.

That would mean at 240k sales per year we'd be trading right now at sales value. $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ trades about 5 times so that would put us at a fair valuation of $50bn which is $25. Sure Tesla has better financials so that all needs to be considered. We are now beginning to hit the numbers the company thought they would see in 2023. Middle East sales beginning the end of this year. Europe is a wait and see. NIO brand sales they expect to continue to increase. 30k per month is break even. Similar w Onvo.
