$Vanguard Total International Stock Index Fund ETF Shares(VXUS)$is an etf that consists of all the international stocks, similar to VTI or IWDA, but excludes the US stock market. This makes it a suitable etf for those who are looking to diversify their stock holdings globally while also trying to avoid the US stocks. There could be a few reasons for this. First, the investor could be wary of US stock market valuations. At a current P/E ratio of 20, the US stock market is still way higher than the long term average P/E ratio of 15-16. And this is after the near 20% correction of recent weeks. This could imply that the US market could potentially continue to fall, and that the recent surge could just be a dead cat bounce. Another reas

Elon Musk files response and counterclaims to Twitter lawsuit over $44 billion dealElon Musk formally responded to $Twitter(TWTR)$ Inc.'s lawsuit seeking to force him to go through with his $44 billion takeover of the social-media platform and included counterclaims against the company. The filing Friday was made confidentially and isn't viewable by the public. It isn't unusual for counterclaims against a public company to be filed confidentially, pending review for possible redactions of sensitive information. The response and claims may be available as soon as next week. One of counterclaims by Mr. Musk is expected to center on the allegation that Twitter changed its number of monetizable daily active users shortly after agreeing to the deal,

Twitter, Elon Musk to argue over trial timetable to force $44 billion takeover, who will be the winner? He will not pay if he can avoid paying. The billion dollar question is whether the court would order him to honor the deal, and I believe the odds are stacked against him for now,as his arguments that the deal should be terminated do not appear to be factual.@ngph@evepek

EM will walk away. It's being done all the time. Companies say they will buy out at a premium price , after  some months they walk away. Shareholders suffer .

EM will walk away from the deal. Twitter can do nothing about it.  There is always an escape clause! I loose!

Elon Musk refuses to honor his obligations to Twitter and its stockholders because the deal he signed no longer serves his personal interests.Elon Musk tried to back out of the acquisition altogether. In a regulatory filing prepared by his lawyers, Elon Musk said he was terminating the Twitter deal because of a continuing disagreement over the number of spam accounts on the platform and he feel that all indications suggested that several of Twitter's public disclosures regarding its mDAUs [monetizable daily active users] are either false or materially misleading," I believe Elon Musk will let the legal battle to drag on for a long time until $Twitter(TWTR)$ has problem to pay for the legal fees and it will also cause Twitter share price to drop tremendously. Elon Musk has planned in s

EM will gladly pay the "break-up" fee... Its pocket change compared to the amount he have to cough update to take over twitter.

SEC questioned Elon Musk as he tweeted his Twitter deal concernsA new regulatory filing shows that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission raised questions about Elon Musk's commitment to his $44B acquisition of Twitter (NYSE:TWTR) $Twitter(TWTR)$almost two months before Musk said he was scuttling the deal. The Thursday filing includes a letter dated June 7 and signed by attorney Mike Ringler, who is a partner in the Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom law firm that is representing Musk in his dispute with Twitter (TWTR). In the letter, Ringler responded to questions that the SEC had about a tweet Musk made about the Twitter (TWTR) deal back on May 17. The SEC said Musk tweeted, "[t]his deal cannot move forward," and that doing so, "sugges

$Twitter(TWTR)$ is the most talked of stock of the day due to its impending legal fight with Elon Musk.   At stake is USD 44 billion acquisition deal at a takeover price of USD54.20 per share.  There is a massive difference compared to its latest closing price today at USD36. 29.Who will win the legal case?   This is really hard to say as it is the largest deal to land in court todate.  Morally, Twitter is on high ground as it was Elon Musk who courted Twitter to sell to him in April and then changed his mind. After 3 months of high drama, Twitter's share price has fallen dramatically.  Some employees lost their jobs and overall the morale is low.  Twitter's shareholders especially the small invest
Only Elon Musk know his game plan on Twitter takeover. Is it a smokescreen or an acquisition to use Twitter as his main media platform for his business empire? Quite honestly, Twitter isn't truly popular in Asia region but rather active in US. Since I'm neither a user nor an investor, I'll just stay on the sidelines and watch the show as it unfolds. Court showdown as always been around all these years, nothing is new however it can a distraction to Musk's other businesses such as Tesla and SpaceX. I don't see the benefit of guessing what's the outcome. For the benefit of his investors, let's just hope this courtroom showdown can get over quickly as possible.

Given Musk's egoistical character, this is likelyto result in a long, protracted legal dispute between Musk and Twitter. One may see Musk pulling different "arguments", for example failure on provision of accurate user account data etc. Most of us are incognisant of this acquisition details/process, hence the outcome may be Unpredictable. However, if the court rules the case in Twitter's favour, Musk will have to oblige to pay any fees/damages accordingly (this is just how the legal framework is designed to work). Personally, I will avoid investing/trading in $Twitter(TWTR)$due to the unpredictability of the acquisition outcome as well as less-than-stellar performance of Twitter in recent years.

I think the court battle will be inevitable. Legally speaking, I think Twitter might have an edgeto get Musk to pay for $1 billion. But given EM's ability to get himself out of a fix, I figure he will either negotiate for a smaller payment or buy Twitter (surprise!) at a much cheaper valuation.Cos the alternative will be to fight till one sideruns out of gas. Or electricity as in this London Police car case. What do you think? Keen to learn from you.@TigerStars@CaptainTiger@MillionaireTiger
