🌟🌟🌟13F is a snapshot of what stocks are hot with the Big Institutions and also what stocks are being sold.  As a prudent investor, it is important to be cognitive of these stock movements as they do cause a big wave when they buy and sell.

    13F!
Even when you are happy with the idea of following someone else's trading strategy, the usefulness of the 13F form for your own trading and decision making is limited by the significant lag between the fund manager making a trade and the trade being reflected in the report.

Form 13F shows holdings at the end of each quarter, but it is published at the SEC website several weeks later – around the middle of the following quarter.

The Q2 13F filings of top investment institutions reveal diverse strategies amidst market uncertainty. Blackrock increased Apple holdings and cut positions in ETFs and Chevron. Morgan Stanley added Microsoft, Apple, and Amazon shares while trimming Shaw, ACWI, and Uber. JPMorgan echoed tech focus, including $5B in Vanguard S&P 500 ETF. Berkshire Hathaway entered housing stocks like D.R. Horton, NVR, and Lennar, while Citigroup balanced options in ETFs. These moves reflect calculated responses to market dynamics. Amidst a complex landscape, institutions demonstrate their expertise in adapting to risks and growth opportunities.

As a reference! This is how I see 13F.

The good thing for us is that the 13F holdings reports are publicly available in full detail on the SEC website. For every fund or company, the report contains list of securities and for each security there is fair market value and number of shares held. You can take advantage of these reports if you want a hint regarding what the big guys have been doing in the markets.

🌟🌟🌟The US 13F is like a report card for these Top US banking Giants.  The commonality of all financial institutions seem to be increasing their purchase of Big Tech like Apple, Microsoft.  All of them have increased their market capitalisation.
It is good to know what the whales are Buying and Selling so that as a small retail investor I can focus on these stocks with a possibility of adding them to my diversified portfolio.

I chose these top stocks with careful fundamental analysis and technical analysis - particularly on price trend and how much room for potential profit there could likely be. So I’m pretty happy I got in awhile ago to add them to my portfolio. I try not to follow the hype or the news around what is hot too much as one should stick to their own derived trading strategy. Plus in many cases, by the time the hottest stocks are released, their entry point price is pretty high (although there can still be a good profit margin to be made). It just pays to curb any FOMO here and ensure good follow up and keep your copy buying to a minimum in my opinion. Having said that, I think that tigers should consider having at least $Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$, $NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$, $Alphabet(GOOG)$(or GOOGL) and $Microsoft(MSFT)$ in their portfolio/s. Those institutions aren’t in the habit of choosing poor growth stocks to hold…

13F released by top investment institutions is new to me yet timely for my learning.  It is an additional source of info as I'm eyeing US stocks for portfolio inclusion. Well,  with current mixed feelings of not having in-depth insights about foreign land,  what's the in(s) and out(s) of stocks + hot and cold markets + what's happening in the marketplace, the actions/sharing (the report) of  big boys and seasoned retail investors are all great reference points for me to sail better into unchartered water. Hopefully [smile].

13F can be a useful resource in helping to view the market as a whole. where the market is heading towards, the direction of the market. it also shows what company is doing well. of course, due diligence is still needed when it comes to investing and more resources are needed in order to make informed decision [smile] [smile] [smile]

It's very important even though it's a laggard. If I own a stock they have dumped, I would consider dumping too!
