Elon Musk is opening up like never before in a new biography that's creating headlines.
In the much-anticipated release, titled Elon Musk, author Walter Isaacson is revealing new details about the billionaire entrepreneur's childhood, his relationships with former wives and girlfriends, and his children.
According to publisher Simon & Schuster, Isaacson, who previously wrote a biography of Steve Jobs, spent two years shadowing and interviewing Musk himself as well as speaking with his family, friends and colleagues.
But while Elon Musk is probably as entertaining as any celebrity business bio could be, it is not in any way a book of ideas.
Like Isaacson’s equally readable Jobs bio (the Musk book replicates Jobs’ iconic cover photo),“ this book is an enthusiastic tale about a personality, not a meditation on the meaning of that personality’s work.”

"I'm not a fan of Trump, he's destructive," he told his biographer, Walter Isaacson. Isaacson writes in the book that Musk "deeply despises" the former president, calling him a "liar" and appearing to be "a little bit crazy."
But at the same time, he is not a supporter of current President Joe Biden, although he told Isaacson that if he voted in the 2020 election, he would vote for Biden. He decided not to vote because he believed his vote was of little significance.
