The ex-dividend date is the day on which all shares bought and sold no longer come attached with the right to be paid the most recently declared dividend. This is an important date for any company that has many stockholders, as it makes reconciliation of who is to be paid the dividend easier.

Why do Ex-Dividend Dates Matter?

A dividend-paying stock ex-dividend date, or ex-date, is very important to investors. In a nutshell, if you buy a dividend stock before the ex-dividend date, then you will receive the next upcoming dividend payment. If you purchase the stock on or after the ex-dividend date, you will not receive the dividend. Some investors utilize strategies whereby they will purchase stocks just prior to an ex-dividend date and sell shortly thereafter.

I will choose IBM out of the stocks listed above as its share price is in a super bullish trend since few months ago.

IBM's recent collaborations with new open-source AI technology companies including buying Red Hat and partnering with Meta, show the future of the company is in implementing and tailoring new open-sourced AI models on hybrid cloud networks. The partnership with Meta will be especially important for IBM's future due to the integration of the LLAMA2 model, helping deliver for clients that are yearning for AI optimizations in their business, but need the trust factor to make it happen.

While the company has a strong dividend that could hamper innovation, I think investors need to look at the whole picture. The company's shares from a forward P/E multiple appear cheap at these levels. I think IBM stock is worth to put into your watchlist!

The growth of IBM especially in AI sector will benefit the members from the supplier chain such as $Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$  $Amazon.com(AMZN)$  $Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$  $C3.ai, Inc.(AI)$  $Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$

$IBM(IBM)$ as this is an established company. though over the years it has been staying "quiet" not really making any big news, it's still a company that has survived...

Among the 10 highlighted companies, I might only consider IBM due to its parts of recurring businesses in IT services. However, I might prefer other stronger moat business models not highlighted in these posts. My average target price will be around $190. I might be interested in turnaround companies such as Estee Lauder and Alibaba.

most of us are only familiar with $IBM(IBM)$ which is not surprising. after looking at the table above, $Rev Group Inc.(REVG)$ caught my attention. $3 dividend? that's big deal! initial reaction was... hhhmmm, maybe the share price isn't performing, so to keep investors happy, high dividend is the way to go. but have a look at the screenshot, it's outperforming the S&P. perhaps an undiscovered gem... saved to watchlist!

Constellation Brands is dominating in the beer category. Depletions, a measure of sales to consumers, was up 9% year over year on top of solid growth a year ago. Its Corona franchise expanded despite lots of competition, but Modelo and Pacifico led the way higher. $Constellation(STZ)$
