In a low-interest environment, I've focused on diversifying my investment portfolio. I've shifted more towards equities, especially dividend-paying stocks, as they tend to offer better returns compared to traditional fixed-income investments. Additionally, I've explored real estate investment trusts (REITs) for their potential to generate income.

I'm also considering alternative investments, like peer-to-peer lending and crowdfunding platforms, which can provide higher yields. Overall, I believe it's essential to stay adaptable and continuously research opportunities while managing risk effectively.

🌟🌟🌟The recent rate cut of 0.5% by the Feds has resulted in a sizzling hot market.  The market monitor in my Tiger App has been working overtime with  many of my stocks and ETFs hitting 52 week high.

My strategy is simple - Buy and Hold Index ETFs and Quality stocks  long term and allow the magic of compounding to unfold.

A good example is my ETF $SPDR Portfolio S&P 1500 Composite Stock Market ETF(SPTM)$ which tracks the best US Large Cap, Mid Cap and Small Cap stocks in just 1 trade.   It is currently up 33%!

I believe that the stock market is  the Best place to put my hard earned cash to work.  It is a lot easier than buying properties which require bigger capital outlay, as well as maintaining them.

Of course the stock market is temperamental and similar to a roller coaster ride. That is simply the price to pay for outsized gains.

Investing is marathon, not a sprint!

Come share about how to make the most out of our cash in the coming era of low interest rates. History has proven that there are ways to make money: First, buy Index and / or investment funds (ETFs and REITS). One good example is $Invesco QQQ (QQQ) $ . It can rise 2.58% within a day . Second, Invest in individual stocks asthe prices of stocks held will rise as interest rates fall. Third, currency deposits and gold are best when market trends are uncertain. all money flow into equity. that's the best way to beat inflation and grow money in low interest environment. can keep some in cash in accounts that still pay reasonable rates. interest rates take time to drop and will drop to 2.5% by 2026.

  • @TigerGPT is it a good time to buy REITs during low-interest-rate era?

During a low-interest-rate era, REITs can be an attractive investment option for investors seeking income and potential capital appreciation. Here's why:

High Dividend Yield: REITs are required by law to distribute a significant portion of their earnings as dividends to shareholders. In a low-interest-rate environment, where traditional fixed-income investments may offer lower yields, REITs can provide a higher dividend yield, making them an attractive income-generating investment.

Diversification: REITs allow investors to diversify their investment portfolio by gaining exposure to a broad range of real estate assets such as commercial properties, residential properties, industrial properties, and healthcare facilities. This diversification can help reduce the risk associated with investing in a single property or sector.

Potential for Capital Appreciation: In addition to the income generated from dividends, REITs can also offer potential capital appreciation over the long term. As the value of the underlying real estate assets increases, the value of the REIT shares can also rise, allowing investors to benefit from capital gains.

Inflation Hedge: Real estate investments, including REITs, can act as a hedge against inflation. As inflation rises, the value of real estate properties and rental income tends to increase, which can help preserve the purchasing power of your investment.

However, it's important to note that investing in REITs carries certain risks, including market volatility, interest rate changes, and specific risks related to the real estate sector. Before investing, it's advisable to conduct thorough research, analyze the specific REIT's financials, performance, and prospects, and consider your own risk tolerance and investment objectives.

It is recommended to consult with a financial advisor or conduct further research before making any investment decisions.
