The rally was fueled by a combination of factors, including economic recovery, a low-interest-rate environment, and a booming tourism sector.
As a result, we’ve seen strong performances across key sectors such as banking, REITs, logistics, and technology.
Singaporean stocks are often known for their stable dividends, especially among blue-chip companies and REITs. Investors here expect solid dividend returns, which also helps keep market volatility low—making it an attractive choice for those seeking long-term, steady income.
It’s all about that steady growth, sitting back and watching dividends grow![Miser][Miser][Miser]
Our old friend @MilkTeaBro, a seasoned investor focused on Singapore stocks, shared some insights from his portfolio:
The Singapore stocks market is my favourite treasure hunting place. The best thing is dividend tax free. Only Singapore and HK offer dividend tax free from my knowledge.
Looking at my trade record, most of my SG stocks are profitable. Dividend income is a big section in total profits. Singapore Stocks provide high dividend yield, it is a kind of safe margin. Temporary paper loss didn't cause a problem, buy and hold to collect dividends.
Less resources and information regarding Singapore stocks on the internet, but it is less noise too. I do my own study on stocks and financial reports and company announcements. I mimics my own SGX South East Asia dividend fund, my portfolio SGX listed company from Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, Australia and China. My portfolio dividend yield is higher than STI.
For example:
China Everbright Water is a waste water treatment, it belongs to public utilities sector. No matter economy up or down, waste water needs to be processed. Its debt level is reasonable and debt interest rate was low. It has paid decent dividend for years.
I got $China Everbright(U9E.SI)$ interim dividends today. I collected 10k dividend from it within 3 years, capital gains only 2%.
Another savvy investor, @xvaen, shared his experience too:
Although I missed the great boat of opportunity of $YZJ Shipbldg SGD(BS6.SI)$ earlier this May for $SIA(C6L.SI)$ but overall it's been a good year so far. 🤞🏻
$DBS Group Holdings(D05.SI)$ has always been stellar, never disappoints.
Tiger is my second brokerage and im thankful for the trading opportunities here. Fuss free interface, another 20k to reach my investment goal here. 💪🏻
And let’s not forget other investors sharing their gains from SG stocks, with strong performances in:

Investing in these banks offers several benefits. Firstly, they have a robust business model with diversified income streams, which provides stability even during market fluctuations. Secondly, their strong capital positions and sound risk management practices enhance their resilience, making them reliable dividend payers.
Additionally, the Singapore banking sector benefits from a favorable regulatory environment and ongoing economic recovery, which can support growth in loan demand and interest income. This makes DBS, OCBC, and UOB not only attractive for their dividends but also for their potential capital appreciation over time. Overall, they are solid choices for investors looking for a combination of income and growth.
