🌟🌟🌟2024 has been an amazing year for me with the STI ETF hitting a 17 year high and the US markets led by the Magnificent 7 hitting new records too. My Singapore Bank stocks also hit new highs this year with $DBS Group Holdings(D05.SI)$
However Jerome Powell threw a wrench into the markets on Thursday indicating that there will be fewer interest rate cuts in 2025, sending the markets into a nosedive.
Nevertheless I will continue to stay invested and go bargain hunting for quality stocks on sale. I like the recently listed 5 new Hong Kong SDRs especially since Tiger Brokers currently have zero commission till the end of December.
2024 has been a memorable year for me and as 2025 beckons, I invest with optimism and belief that investing in the stock markets will reap great rewards in the long term.

On a self-improvement journey wise, sad to say I did not finish any new book due to my busy schedule and tonnes of lousy excuses [LOL] but I did manage to re-read the Atomic Habit once again due to my need to do a presentation at work which allows any topic so I chose to do a book summary sharing session. In that sense, I had the opportunity to do a revision and did a review on my habits, both good and bad.
Overall, it's a moderate year for me, could be much better if not due to my own lack of discipline and weakness for distractions. Onwards and upwards for 2025 everyone!!!
I started to do live and is happy that it is starting to earn some income from it..
It was just to tryout to see if it is true that one can earn from it, I was sceptical at first but nevertheless I gave it a try n it turn out that it is true!!!

Not actually to earn an income from it but to see if it actually works...
And it did!!
So I repost videos n make some, although I did not actively do live, it can earn u a good income if you actually do more n also actively participate in their events.

I also learned the importance of emotional management. Investing isn’t just about numbers; it’s about controlling emotions. Market volatility and outside opinions can affect my reactions. Staying calm and making rational decisions has been crucial to my progress. When I feel anxious, I remind myself to analyze situations carefully and avoid emotional decisions.
These lessons have helped me succeed in investing and improve my emotional management and decision-making skills. I believe they will make me more confident in both investing and life.

for me, I've loss a very close relative due to cirrhosis... a permanent scarring on liver that is irreversible.
This have made a mark on my life, I have vow that I will not let that happened to me nor to my family members.
With a lifestyle change and dietary that seems difficult to maintain, we are still maintaining after 7 months and hopefully this will persist until the end of my day's.
As we age, health seems to be the most important factors... live well, live healthy and live happy.
For what ever we do, without it we won't be enjoying anything that we had.

Witnessing the blossoming bond between my children & their grandparents has been the most precious gift. Every day, I'm met with scenes that fill my heart to the brim: giggles & stories shared, tender touches & warm hugs, & the quiet moments of understanding that transcend words.
Seeing my parents' faces light up with joy as they watch their grandkids grow, learn, & explore is a sight that never gets old. & as I watch my children's eyes sparkle with delight in their grandparents' presence, I'm reminded of the beauty of family & the importance of cherishing every moment we share.
Closer to home, I undertook a minor renovation of my house. While the process inevitably brought with it some headaches, the end result is a beautiful and functional home, love the newly renovated wardrobe.
Financially, 2024 proved to be a successful year for my stock investments, yielding an overall gain of 30%. This success has further solidified my commitment to continued investing in the future.
To enhance my professional skills, I dedicated time to reading "SPIN Selling," a book that provided valuable insights into effective sales techniques.
