BUZZ Van Eck Social Sentiment ETF - A Tactical Bet On Good News
🌟🌟🌟The US markets ended higher on positive news with signs that wage pressures are easing. Investors seem to take some encouragement from Feds Chairman Jerome Powell's response that while policymakers were not prepared to cut rates, neither did they see the need to increase rates given the "sufficiently restrictive" current stance of monetary policy. BUZZ ETF is an ETF designed to tap on US stocks with the most positive sentiment online. BUZZ looks for investment related mentions of large and mid cap US listed firms in relevant online sources including social media, news articles and blog posts. Using a proprietary algorithm, eligible companies that meet certain market cap and liquidity requirements are scored and ranked by insight, which indicates the degr
On Tue, 23 Apr 2024 $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ reported its terrible earnings, coming in much worst than Wall Street expectations. By a stroke of genius marketing & luck, the CEO successfully diverted investors and analysts’ attention from the set of deficit data to something intangible and in the future. After Tuesday earning calls, the stock began to regained lost grounds over Wednesday & Thursday. The momentum fizzles out by the time Friday came around.

VOO vs. SPY vs. IVV vs. SPLG: What is the Best S&P 500 ETF?
Billionaire investors typically prefer simpler ways to make money, with a typical example being their use of Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) like Vanguard S&P 500 ETF.Warren Buffett and Ken Griffin are two of the world's most successful investors. Both have opted for the simple investment route of Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO).$Berkshire Hathaway(BRK.A)$ Chairman Buffett even recommended this ETF in his will as part of his family's legacy. Similarly, Griffin's hedge fund Citadel not only invests in the same ETF but also holds significant options. Why is the S&P 500 ETF so favored? The S&P 500 ETF tracks the S&P 500 Index, considered a benchmark for the U.S. economy. It holds the 500 largest U.S. stocks across all sectors, including te
Prominent Bitcoin detractor Peter Schiff took to social media “X” (Twitter) to predict that the price of Bitcoin (BTC), the largest cryptocurrency, will plunge back to the $20,000 level. The gold bug argues that despite the plunge, it would still be a "high" price for the crypto leader. If price really falls, he estimates that business intelligence company $MicroStrategy(MSTR)$, which is known as the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin, will have to face an unrealized loss of $3.25 billion. Schiff has also accused MicroStrategy, that owns a total 214,400 Bitcoins of manipulating the largest cryptocurrency. The gold bug's recent comment came after the price of Bitcoin slipped to an intraday low of $60,065 after the seemingly underw
Summary QYLD ETF writes ATM call options on the Nasdaq 100 Index to generate high distribution yields. The Fund has underperformed because it trades off all of the index's upside. Instead of QYLD, investors may want to consider the JEPQ, which also writes call options on the Nasdaq 100 Index, but sells OTM calls and retains some upside. PM Images Last summer, I wrote a cautious follow-up article on the Global X NASDAQ 100 Covered Call ETF (NASDAQ:QYLD). In my opinion, on any reasonably long time frame, QYLD's strategy will likely underperform the passive Invesco QQQ ETF (QQQ) in delivering
Warren Buffett’s insights: make money with little risk
Another year's Berkshire Hathaway shareholder meeting, with Cook and Gates seen sitting in the audience. The moment when Buffett mistakenly called out "Charlie" was somewhat poignant. In the latest Berkshire Q1 holdings, approximately 75% of the fair value of its portfolio remains concentrated in American Express, Apple, Bank of America, Chevron, and Coca-Cola.It's worth noting that Berkshire Q1 still remained a net seller, with cash reserves reaching new highs. In Q1, Berkshire sold nearly $20 billion worth of stocks while only purchasing $2.7 billion, leading its portfolio value to decline from $354 billion at the end of last year to $336 billion.Although Apple remains Berkshire's largest holding, its stake value dropped from $174 billion at the end of last year to $135.4 billion. As of
I opened $SoFi Technologies Inc.(SOFI)$ ,SoFI: Bought in SoFi at $7 as part of getting assigned after the covered puts I sold went into the money and expired on 3rd May. SoFi closed at $6.96 at closing and I was ok with it. For weeks I’ve been selling SoFi at support $7 and this week it finally went as low as $6.61 before ending at $6.96 at closing. I’ve collected $0.36 premium from the options so $0.04 in the money meant I’m still profitable for $0.32 which translate to 4.55% premium collection over 25 days. Will turn to sell covered call on these newly acquired stocks. Earnings on 29th April were good, company was profitable for the 2nd Quarter in a row, however Mr. Market don’t like this company at its current state. Only time will tell I
A long awaited happy week for EV investors last week. Generally, most of the EV companies had positive gain on their share prices over the week. The biggest winner belongs to Tesla. TESLA Last week, Elon Musk's quick visit to China was rewarded immediately. Tesla received in-principle approval from Chinese government to deploy its driver-assistance system (FSD) in the world's biggest auto market. Tesla will partner with tech giant Baidu on maps and navigation, to assist its FSD development in China. This agreement might be a potential revenue boost for Tesla. Besides, more and more automakers signed up to access Tesla's electric-vehicle charging infrastructure across the United States, taking the Elon Musk-led company's superchargers closer to becoming the industry standard.&nb
