$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ closed up 3.71%, marking its tenth consecutive trading day of gains.

Besides the Q2 delivery numbers exceeding expectations, recent factors driving Tesla's continued rise include the upcoming earnings report and the launch of robotaxis in August.

Tesla skyrocketed after Q2 delivery because it managed to reduce its rising inventory. The decline in inventory also leads the market to be bullish on earnings report on July 23.

Another very exciting piece of news is about autonomous driving.

  • On April 28, Tesla CEO Elon Musk made an unexpected visit to China and received a green light regarding automotive data security. This means Tesla's FSD will be able to launch in China.

Recently, $Baidu(BIDU)$ stock surged 8% after the news that 1,000 Apollo Go self-driving taxis in Wuhan city completed a total of 5 million orders. This makes the market view the launch of robotaxis in August as even more promising.

According to a McKinsey report, the robotaxi market is expected to exceed $2 trillion by 2030. IHS Markit predicts that by 2030, the total size of the ride-sharing market in China will reach $315 billion, with robotaxis accounting for 60% of the market share. If the robotaxi fleet expands to 10 million vehicles, the annual revenue could soar to nearly $12 billion.

    Self Drive is the way to go in the future unless you are out in the countryside.

    I am waiting for this moment when self driving is approved and the machine hardly fails. It is always the human that complicated things.

    Will the US approve of Robo Taxi? Most people look in the wrong direction. You should look at China. The demands are real and it is a good start for TSLA there.

    Smart driving is the future. The main thing that is holding it back now is for it to demonstrate safety not just to the driver but also the other road users.

    Robotaxi will bring more upside for Tesla but only up to a point where the rest catch up just like how the rest have caught up with its EVs and do better or offer at a cheaper price. The competition will be stiff!
