Do You Know of Any 'Easy Money' or 'Quick Buck' Opportunities in the Stock Market?

Welcome to Thursday Special!

In the stock market, there are certain investment strategies and tactics that are jokingly referred to as 'easy money' or 'making a quick buck' because they appear to be relatively straightforward and offer a high level of certainty when it comes to making money. 💸💸💸

For instance, since the recent escalation of the Israel-Palestine conflict, assets like gold and defense stocks like $Raytheon Technologies Corporation(RTX)$ and $Lockheed Martin(LMT)$ have seen significant surges in the worst October.📈

For value investors, it involves seeking undervalued stocks, believing their true worth is higher than their current market price, and then purchasing them, patiently waiting for the market to recognize their value. 💎

For option traders, it might mean 'fleecing the clock' by engaging in activities like 'selling puts' and 'selling covered calls.' 🕓

sell cash secured puts when support is reached. choose delta 0.2, and that gives 80% chance the option will expire worthless. easy money.
However, tonight stock market rallying up... wait till resistance than sell covered calls applying same theory. [Sly]

during market downturn, it's an opportunity itself as good stock can be purchased at a good price. however, caution needs to be practised as you never know how the market gonna be reacting to unfortunate news (or how badly it would "crash" and how long or how much time taken to recover). therefore, be prudent and spread to other safer instruments / funds, etc as well. better be safe than sorry...

🌟🌟🌟Have you heard the saying "Easy Money Easy Go?" To me Investing Is A Marathon, not a Sprint.  If it is that easy to make a quick buck in the stock markets then all of us would be Millionaires overnight.

For me the best way to make money in the stock market would be to Buy Wonderful Companies Below Their Intrinsic Value and let the Magic of Compounding happen over time.

The other way would be to Dollar Cost Average these companies through Tiger Auto Invest and in the future, we would be able to reap the rewards over time.

Easy Money sounds exciting but when there is easy money to be made, the risks are just as high.  Charlie Munger has said The Big Money is in the Waiting, Not in the Buying and Selling.

To me, it is Patience and Time in the Market that count, and not Timing the market.  It is Slow and Steady Wins the Race, and not Easy Money Easy Go!

I used to engage in trading zero days to expiration (0 DTE) options, also known as day trading options, with the hope of making fast profits. These trades involve selling options that expire on the same day, offering the potential for rapid gains. I usually aim for option contracts which are deep OTM and have a high probability of expiring worthless. This method is like picking pennies on the street with a steam roller coming our way. Definitely not for everyone.

“Easy money” or “Quick bucks” exist everyday in the stock market.

It exists in fools who believe in the next rumor, hot tip and speculation. The result can be euphoric initially, however always leads to depression, and fear and loss of an income.

The other form of “easy money” is easy in theory but not so sexy. It entails either doing DCA into the S&P500 index over a very long period like 10 years. The other alternative that is easy is to identify a true blue value stock, invest and sit on your butt. [LOL]

Easy to say but not so easy to execute when greed or jealousy comes into play.

    Invest wisely fellow Tigers! [Grin]

Easy money is gone by the time we hear about it. In options trading, sell cash secured puts in a bull market, sell covered calls in a bear market and execute wheels option during consolidation will most certainly make “less difficult” money.

Quick money! This word makes me recall of memes stock. Imagine how those people make profit or losses from MEME stocks during covid pandemic year?

Well, the so-called “meme stocks” that rose to prominence over the past few years, such as GameStop and AMC Entertainment, provided fantastical gains for some shareholders — and equally devastating losses for others. GameStop, for example, jumped 400% in a single week in January 2021, while AMC Entertainment posted an unfathomable 1,183% gain for the full year. Since then, both stocks have continued experiencing steep declines and sudden surges.

Investing in these types of companies isn’t a solid long-term financial plan, and you certainly shouldn’t devote any significant portion of your portfolio to them. However, if you’re looking for stocks that can make huge moves in a relatively short period of time, these are areas you could investigate. As the market is recovering this week, I believe some meme stocks will rally pretty soon too, such as $AMC Entertainment(AMC)$ $C3.ai, Inc.(AI)$ $Grab Holdings(GRAB)$ $Sea Ltd(SE)$ Bullish. Other than meme, we do have some famous  blue chips stocks like $Apple(AAPL)$ Bearish, but the company just released its earnings, which is not very favourable and might cause the share price to tumble in near term.

Will you risk your position and bet on meme stocks?

Easy come easy go🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ I rather not take risky trades and accumulate small profits and make it into wealth overtime gradually. The risk of easy money stocks is that sometimes by the ⏰ we enter, it might already be too late with a high buy price and early buyers would be selling to profit take leaving us with a crashing stock price📉📉📉 Thanks loads @MillionaireTiger ❣️

"Easy money" or "Quick buck" in stock market mostly are "high risk bets" on speculative volatile prices. "Opportunities plenty" need resources, time, luck. Ponder "Easy come" == "Easy go"?

    在股票大跌时买入优质蓝筹股,这样比较保险,然后再等待股市大涨!因为股票不会一直跌,一旦行情好了又会大涨😃。

For most people, stock market is either a risky place. Easy money/quick buck probably exist with the odd s of 1 in a trillion chances.

If you are so lucky, the $$$ that you gain won't last you long. Human being having the tenancy of spending it all out since its so easy to gain it back [Happy]

Investing is always about finding the right business that have the niche to out perform the herd of others,  patient is the key,
    temperament is vital and
most of all don't have the "herd mentality".

Above all macro economic will always put those skills into test.

And after all that, then you maybe rewarded handsomely.

you may collect premium by selling covered call  for the high quality stocks you are willing to own at a discounted rate. the premium might be your quick money. but please ensure to do your due diligence before placing the trade. a quick tip is to choose stocks with high implied volatility (IV) >50% to collect premium (quick money).

I think that the easy money in the stock market are probably the penny stocks where it is highly speculative and prices are easily manipulated.

There is always a risk to reward ratio that you have to consider before deploying your money into the stock market.

In the context of haviing the opportunity of an upside of 1000% increase, the risk would also be equivalent and even the possibility of 100% downside and losing your capital.
It is impossible for the risk to only be 1%.

Risk to reward ratio is always proportional. The greater the expected return, the greater the risk.

Probably only happen in dreams there would be such a thing as 1000% upside like a penny stock but as safe as a blue chip stock.

    Similarly, in the opposite way.
The lower the returns, it is generally safe to assume that there are lower risks.

E.g Singapore T-bills with a 4% return and has capital guaranteed.

Ultimately, do your own due diligence and take into consideration your investment time horizon 😊

To me that there is no easy money for investment. All investment comes with risk. It is just a matter of how high is the risk factor.
