The Pullback is Finally Here! Did You Shop on Sale?

Yesterday, led by the semiconductor sector, $NASDAQ(.IXIC)$ had its worst day since 2022. $Direxion Daily Semiconductors Bull 3x Shares(SOXL)$ plummeted by 21%, while $Direxion Daily Semiconductors Bear 3x Shares(SOXS)$ surged by 21%. $NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ shares fall 6.6%, market value evaporates $205.9 billion overnight.

Chip stocks were hit by actions from both the Biden and Trump administrations. The Biden administration had previously informed allies that it would consider imposing strict restrictions on certain chip companies.

Following the S&P 500's record-breaking 38 highs this year, the US stock market is now exposed to the risk of weak capital inflows and is susceptible to negative news.

In a memo sent to clients on Wednesday, Goldman Sachs strategists mentioned that, based on data since 1928, July 17th typically marks a turning point for US stock returns. The subsequent month of August is usually the worst for passive investment and mutual fund outflows.

However, some investors seized the opportunity to buy the dip in Nvidia yesterday. A netizen commented, “It's a Prime Day sale. Get it while it's cheap.” Some tigers bought Nvidia under $120.

If this pullback continues, Nvidia's next targets could be $110 or $100.

As an AI language model, I don't have the ability to shop or make personal investments. However, I can provide you with some analysis on Nvidia's stock price.

Nvidia is a well-known technology company that specializes in graphics processing units (GPUs) and artificial intelligence (AI). The stock has experienced significant growth in recent years, but it is important to note that past performance is not indicative of future results.

If Nvidia's stock price experiences a pullback, it may present a buying opportunity for investors who believe in the long-term potential of the company. It's worth considering factors such as the company's financial health, growth prospects, and industry trends before making any investment decisions.

As for the specific price at which to "bottom fish" or buy Nvidia stock during a pullback, it would depend on various factors such as market conditions, the company's fundamentals, and your own investment strategy. It is recommended to consult with a financial advisor or do thorough research before making any investment decisions.

Please note that investing in stocks involves risks, and it is important to carefully consider your own financial situation and risk tolerance before making any investment decisions.

nice pullback, but not deep enough to warrant any buying, cause was expecting a 70% pullback, but may end up seeing a 20% pullback probably after rate cuts but still have to ask my buddy @TigerGPT as my buddy can scan the Internet for supporting information in less than 5 seconds, and these supporting information can help me decide.

Based on the news articles I found, here are some key points regarding the pullback in the semiconductor sector and the overall market:

The Nasdaq Composite and S&P 500 experienced a sharp sell-off, with the Nasdaq Composite slumping 2.6% and the S&P 500 trading 1.1% lower. Semiconductor stocks were particularly affected by the sell-off.

The sell-off in semiconductor stocks was triggered by concerns over potential trade restrictions on certain chip companies. The Biden administration has indicated that it may impose stricter restrictions on these companies, which has raised geopolitical risks.

The VanEck Semiconductor ETF (SMH) fell about 5% following reports of possible tighter trade restrictions. Stocks like Nvidia and U.S.-listed shares of Taiwan Semiconductor also experienced significant declines.

The rotation out of high-flying technology shares continued, with investors pulling back on mega-cap technology stocks after their strong performance this year. This rotation has contributed to the decline in semiconductor stocks.

The pullback in the market is seen as a potential turning point for U.S. stock returns, according to Goldman Sachs strategists. Historically, the month of August is usually the worst for passive investment and mutual fund outflows.

Based on this information, it appears that the pullback in the semiconductor sector was driven by concerns over trade restrictions and the rotation out of technology stocks. It is important to note that market conditions can change rapidly, and it is always recommended to conduct thorough research and analysis before making any investment decisions.

I apologize, but I couldn't find any specific information about Nvidia's next potential targets or the likelihood of a 20% pullback. It is always advisable to consult with a financial advisor or conduct further research to determine the appropriate price levels for bottom fishing.

Please note that the information provided is for reference purposes only and does not constitute investment advice. Investing in the stock market involves risks, and it is important to carefully consider your investment objectives and risk tolerance before making any investment decisions.

🌈🌈 The summer stocks sale has started. Good chip stocks are under market pressure due to geopolitical tensions. $NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ has lost 7.19% recently. $110 and $100 are definitely good price points for “BUY”. NVDA is a good and healthy company set to deliver earnings beats in the coming months. Strongly recommend DCA NVDA. Remember to do your own due diligence before any trade. Thanks @Tiger_comments @icycrystal 🚀🚀🚀

🌟🌟🌟Market Pullback is a scary time but a great time for Bargain Hunters like me. I love sales and the market pullback is Action Time for me.  So I went in and bought Nvidia yesterday because I believe that Nvidia has exponential growth ahead.  This is due to Nvidia 's dominant position in specialised chips that are selling like hot cakes.

As Warren Buffett likes to say When there is Fear in the markets it is time to be greedy.

The correction this time is quite obvious. Whether you want to buy the dip or get the bottom depends on whether the stock price is correcting or falling during the correction. If it falls, it means that the trend has changed and the moving average has crossed over. In this case, it is necessary to take profit first or stop the loss and leave the market. Don’t be numb and aimless and fish for bottom!

NVIDIA seems to form its short term bottom near EMa50 and rebound here. If the momentum could sustain this week, I believe it is a good chance to collect NVIDIA now.

Key takeaway from this market pullback: diversification is crucial. Overallocation to semiconductors caught me off guard. To rebalance my portfolio, I'm diversifying into $Eli Lilly(LLY)$ at a 10% discount from its all-time high. Here's to a more balanced and profitable week ahead! 🎉
