Is Trading a Talent or a Skill?

Welcome to Thursday Special![LOL]

Do you think trading is all about technique, or is it something deeper?

Most traders stick to their strategies, but the best ones seem to trade with a different level of confidence. What do you think? 💭

The real difference between an average trader and a top trader isn’t just in skills. It’s in how they believe in their system and stick with it. 💪 Lots of people know the "right" way to trade and have systems that could work, but staying consistent? That’s the tricky part.

Every system hits rough patches, and when losses add up, doubt creeps in. That’s why there’s a saying in trading: “You don’t just need a system, you need faith in it.” 🙏

You can only make as much money as your understanding allows. Success comes from building your skills and trusting your trading approach.

Every trader sees things differently. Some believe in patterns 📊, others think luck plays a big role 🎲. Some prefer short-term trading, others like to hold long-term. It’s all about finding what works for you. 👍

So, what do you think is the most important part of being a good trader? 🤓💡

talent or skill, either way, both ways are good. however, skills come in handy as certain strategies are required during certain times. experience counts too...

For me, I think that trading goes beyond just technique; it involves a deeper understanding of market psychology and self-awareness. While solid strategies are crucial, successful traders often exhibit a unique confidence rooted in experience and emotional discipline. They can adapt to changing market conditions, manage risk effectively, and remain calm under pressure.

This mindset allows them to trust their instincts and make decisions that may not always align with strict rules. Ultimately, a combination of technical skills and psychological resilience seems to set the best traders apart.

I think finding the right stocks and do due diligence and keep it for longer time let it grow, i think can follow my friend footsteps @Success88 if i can have more money hahaha

Actually how much capital we have also matter unless play on luck…. Small capital wants to earn big big, then if lucky it is possible but can also drop to zero.

Now i would rather choose popular stocks. Just make the list of the popular stocks then can pick from there, when got good news in US, price rally will effect the popular stocks.

My problem always sell the moment it’s green, so i always missed the huge gain 😭 i should profit alot from $ocbc bank(O39.SI)$$Singtel(Z74.SI)$$Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$ but do not cry over spilled milk, just sharing sometimes patience pays ☺️

[Happy][Happy]Of course anybody can trade without talent or skill. Money is the prerequisite for trading in stocks. We can always rely on our stock brokers. Stock trading is basically a mix of strategy, knowledge, and luck. Even the pros have their ups and downs, and they definitely have more talent and skills then us. Good luck is most important! 🍀🍀🍀 Thanks @MillionaireTiger @icycrystal

I think the most important part of being a good trader is understanding their own risk management and being consistent. Use the money that you can afford to lose and stick to the plan , whether it is short-term trading  or long-term hold. Trust your instinct and research. [serious]

Trading is a science and an art. Once you learn the skills and techniques like science, you have to be an artist and paint your artwork.
