Easter Egg Hunt - Investment Like Challenges?
There's a saying that goes something like "When life gives you lemon, make lemonade".
Sufficed to say I find it appropriate to apply to my Easter Egg Hunt game this morning.
The speed to the travelling steps were unprecedented this morning - So Fast!
In the course of playing my 2 games (from accumulated tasks' points) - I have used up my 2 "give life" freebies.
What did I learn in today's game?
When caught wrong footed - Pause!
Wasn't prepared for the fast paced speed of the steps today. All previous experiences on when to jump served only as guide.
They cannot help me to steer thru today's game.
So what I did was to go back to my first post on Easter Egg Hunt and that was to be "Patient" and not rush though the game despite feeling "frazzled".
APPLYING THIS TO INVESTMENT.
Although only One Quarter into 2023, the US market is already different from previous years - up one day, down the next.
While our past experiences could served as possible guide, it is our current investment mind set and action that would steer us thru 2023.
This also mean if unsure and got too caught up in the day to day trading, perhaps we need to be Patient, Pause, Take stock before Continuing?
When it comes to Investing, everyone of us is different and that makes each of us unique.
And when we stumbled, we must not berate ourselves too much. Instead, take a moment, gather our thoughts & emotions, refocus and get back into investing.
Whether it's to cut loss, stay the course (it's paper loss until sell) or buy the dip to average down the cost per share - don't rush thru it (like the easter egg hunt).
The market will always be there the next day (provided it's on Fri or a public holiday thereafter - LOL!) right.
