I opened $SPDR Portfolio S&P 500 ETF(SPLG)$ ,SPDR: another week has passed and have been diligently buying on weekly basis. So far I’m net positive on this holding by about 5%. The AIP function set by Tiger enables me to invest on a timely manner and removed the emotions away. Dollar cost averaging into the index ensures me to have average returns for average effort so it’s fair game.

I closed $SMCI DIAGONAL 240405/240328 CALL 1035.0/CALL 1000.0$ ,SMCI: rolled SMCI naked sell call from expiry 28th Mar to next Fri 5th Apr. also set strike from $1000 and improve to $1035 to allow for more breather room for the stock to go down. So far the shorts have been doing well with the latest one collected 88% of maximum possible premium. This is because when I sold SMCI it was at $1116 and now fighting the $1000 key support level. New premium collection is about 1.5% for 8 days of contract. As for the stocks, I’m still holding the shorts and there were losing money. Mentioned before that this was a speculative play, however realize that the rounded number strike has got more volume and tighter spread vs this .5 option I’ve sold, thus decided to close it and find new opportunity at a different strike. TOPI sold this put cause the IV was very high, thus high premiums, as am expecting the IV to come down quite drastically over the next 2 weeks or so. Thus even if the stock price remain the same or even dips a little, i should still able to profit from a put contract. However, buying a put works exactly the opposite, the stock price need to dip faster then the IV otherwise it will be hard to profit from the contract. On Wed, 27 Mar 2024 - the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) scored a major win in its lawsuit against $Coinbase Global, Inc.(COIN)$. 9 months ago (in June 2023), SEC filed suit against Coinbase, alleging that it facilitated trading of at least 13 crypto tokens that should have been registered as securities. It also accused that Coinbase was operating illegally as a national securities exchange, broker and clearing agency without registering with the regulator. SEC also demanded the company be “permanently restrained and enjoined” from continuing to do so. On Tue, 26 Mar 2024, the Conference Board Consumer Confidence index (March) was released. It is one of handful Economic reports out this week, that may “impact” the short trading week.
