U.S. stocks tumbled in a broad sell-off on Wednesday as Alphabet shares slid after the Google parent posted disappointing earnings and as U.S. Treasury yields rose, reviving fears that interest rates could stay higher for longer.
$Alphabet(GOOG)$ posted earnings in the third quarter that beat analyst estimates but Google Cloud revenue grew just 22% to $8.4 billion, missing forecasts of $8.6 billion and slowing from 28% in the previous quarter. Alphabet shares dropped 9.5%.
$Microsoft(MSFT)$ fiscal first-quarter revenue jumped 13% to $56.5 billion and beat Wall Street expectations. Revenue in the companyโs Azure cloud business rose 29%, ahead of the pace set in the previous quarter. Microsoft reported profit of $2.99 a share, well ahead of expectations of $2.65. The stock rose 3.1%.
$Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$ had appeared to recover from struggles in its ad business that began last year. Third-quarter sales were $34.2 billion, the company said Wednesday, compared with the average analyst estimate of $33.5 billion.
$Morgan Stanley(MS)$ said late Wednesday that Co-President Edward โTedโ Pick will become its chief executive, effective Jan. 1.Outgoing Chief Executive James Gorman will become executive chairman, Morgan Stanley said. Pick will also join the firmโs board of directors.

Hi all. Look into Palantir, PLTR today. Yesyerday, PLTR closed at 15.59 down 1.05, a 6.31% droo. It did hit a high of 16.63. Will PLTR hit above 16 and go on to 17 again yhis week? Possibly, as there are many imvestots who love this stock and would buy up at these lows. PLTR is a growth stock and it is a play on its artificial intelligence platforms. I believe in this stock and would just make dipping buys and wait for the rebound to yake profits.
