Bigger Waves Bring Bigger Rewards: Do You Agree?

Before the market opened today, $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ and $NVIDIA(NVDA)$ both dropped around 3%.

Amid the cries and panic sweeping the market, a group of “contrarian” investors emerged — and surprisingly, they’re thanking Trump?

The reason is simple: every time Trump imposes new tariffs, the US stock market takes a hit — and every dip becomes a discount for long-term investors to load up on quality assets.

Buying more as prices fall — is it madness or wisdom?

Lately, you've probably seen plenty of bear market warnings:

US economist Harry Dent predicts that the market could crash by 30%-50% in the summer of 2025. He believes it could mirror the collapse of 1929 or the dot-com bust in 2000.

Sounds scary, doesn’t it?

But maybe, every pullback is an opportunity for ordinary people to climb the financial ladder.

Some say that we are witnessing history right now. Big volatility means big opportunities to make money, it all depends on whether you have the courage to buy at the bottom and hold strong.

However, others believe that high risk does not necessarily mean high reward. The higher the risk, the lower the probability of making a profit.

So let’s talk:

  • Does volatility create opportunity?

  • Do you agree that bigger waves mean bigger rewards?

  • Will you seize the chance?

  • Can your current investment strategy withstand the potential storms ahead?

I believe volatility brings opportunity, especially for long-term investors. When strong companies like Tesla $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ and NVIDIA $NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ dip due to events like tariffs or political noise, I see it as a chance to accumulate quality assets at a discount. Instead of panicking with the crowd, I focus on the bigger picture and stick to my conviction.

Crash warnings like the ones from Harry Dent sound scary, but I rely on a solid strategy — like dollar-cost averaging and staying diversified — to weather the storms. It's not about avoiding risk altogether, but about understanding and embracing it when the odds are in your favor.

So yes, I’m ready to ride the waves. Dips aren’t disasters to me — they’re stepping stones. With discipline and patience, I believe tough times can bring the best rewards.

🌟🌟🌟I am like a surfer trying to ride the waves of volatility, the bigger the wave, the more opportunities there are.

However to be good at surfing the waves take skill, patience &  willingness to take risks to ride out the waves of a turbulent stock market.  Like the sea, the stock market is unpredictable.

However with the right knowledge and approach to investing, it is possible to take a more strategic approach that involves riding the waves of the market, holding tight, weathering the ups and downs until I reach safe harbour.

One of my strategies is to have a diversified portfolio and a long term perspective to investing.

Just like a surfer waits for the right wave to come along, being patient before making significant investment decisions is also key.

The bigger the waves, the more I relish this unprecedented opportunity to ride the waves!  Investing is an adventure like no other and can be so rewarding.

I say thank you Donald Trump in a different way… i short the market with my thanks! Some of my favourite Trump’s aligned stocks to short are $Direxion Daily Semiconductors Bear 3x Shares(SOXS)$, $Tradr 2X Short TSLA Daily ETF(TSLQ)$. I wanted to short Nasdaq $ProShares UltraPro Short QQQ(SQQQ)$ too but when I compared the percentage performance of the three, I have decided that that’s as much risk I am willing to take… I am more of a conservative investor and not much of a gambler. Taking shorts are just means of hedging against my other related positions. Of course I don’t hold any Tesla shares. I am not a fan of both Elon Musk or Tesla, so I don’t mind shorting the company when either is in trouble. That’s the beauty of 🐯 trade. With my other trading platforms, I couldn’t do much, as shorting with leverage is expensive and reserve for the rich.
Lastly, just to say that bigger waves require higher protection. I have those in my gold and silver trades. At least I am not naked [Happy]

Of course volatile create opportunity. It is a chance to buy good stocks at a cheap price for investment and definitely good for traders. In the same vein, bigger waves do mean bigger rewards. I have already started to nibble a bit and definitely have bought my SREITS. I think the potential storms will be short lived and trump will not allow these to go on forever and the market would rebound quickly. @Kaixiang @Fenger1188 @SPOT_ON @DiAngel @Wayneqq @rL @Success88 @Universe宇宙 @HelenJanet come join

If it is not due to my “hangover” from my endoscopy (which I m still suffering 😠😤😡🤬.. long GA.. coming to 2 weeks.), I would have taken the opportunity or seize the chance. Unfortunately, I m very hot tempered (gave my IT folks a good scolding when they tried to smoke me) or unstable at the moment. Hence, I will give the current opportunity a miss.

Nursing back my health is my utmost priority now. Glad I have an understanding boss that I only started work at 10am this morning. I WFH. 😅🤭😂.

I believe volatility creates opportunity and totally agree that bugger waves mean bigger rewards as in no pain no gain. For me buying the dip of your favourite company for a long term for sure is a good idea and I will seize the chance! Despite the storm ahead, holding on tightly on the stock that you believe will get over the obstacles and beautiful scene will be there waiting for you! [Love you]

yes volatility creates opportunities but don't catch a falling knife.. one way is to buy in batches at support levels.  You can also wait for price action to start making higher lows before buying in...
