Are companies with high salaries worth investing in?
Which US companies pay most to employees? Let’s look at the top 25 companies ranked by employees’ salary!
Profit per employee is determined by dividing a company's annual profit by its full-time staff.
$Valero(VLO)$ $Occidental(OXY)$ $Exxon Mobil(XOM)$ $Broadcom(AVGO)$ $Marathon(MRO)$ $Netflix(NFLX)$ $Microsoft(MSFT)$ $Qualcomm(QCOM)$
The list comprises 12 energy companies (48%), seven tech companies (28%), three finance companies (12%), two construction companies (8%), and one healthcare company (4%).
At the top is $ConocoPhillips(COP)$ , a major global energy company, generating almost $2 million in profit per employee with its 9,800 workers.
Second and third places go to $Fannie Mae(FNMA)$ and $Freddie Mac(FMCC)$, government-sponsored enterprises supporting the housing market.
Notably, $ConocoPhillips(COP)$ outperformed $Apple(AAPL)$ (13th) in profit per employee.
A high profit per employee might indicate financial success, effective human resource management, and a high leverage industry.

🌟🌟🌟Employees are the lifeblood of a company. Happy employees will produce outstanding results and drive a successful company's profits to new highs.
High salaries will attract outstanding employees but it is not the only matrix that matters. It is also the work culture, the fringe benefits and most importantly how management treats their staff.
High profit per employee is the key matrix to measure productivity and the work performance of the employees.
The Magnificent 7 companies like $Apple(AAPL)$ $Microsoft(MSFT)$ $Amazon.com(AMZN)$ $NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ and $Alphabet(GOOG)$ did not get where they are today without the winning combination of excellent management and their team of dedicated employees.
By the same token the Magnificent 7 draws quality employees like magnets by virtue of their well known names.
I would love to invest in companies like the Magnificent 7 but it is not only due to high profit per employee, it is the sum total of what these outstanding companies stand for - High profit, rock solid balance sheet, wide moats, excellent management team and their wonderful employees.

Retail giant Walmart (WMT) plans to raise salaries for store managers and hourly workers across its US locations. The average annual salary for managers at U.S. Walmart (WMT) stores will increase from $117K to $128K, according to a letter sent to all US storage managers by Cedric Clark, executive vice president of store operations. The superstore chain is also boosting its annual bonus program. If managers hit or exceed sales targets, bonuses could reach as high as 200% of their base salary. In addition to managerial pay adjustments, hourly workers are also up for a raise. The average hourly Walmart (WMT) employee will receive more than $18/hour. $Wal-Mart(WMT)$
Everyone is “fighting” to gain entrance to Alphabet $Alphabet(GOOGL)$ in US. That’s what my US friends were telling me as the package is irreversible. But lately, we are seeing retrenchments from these big firms. I can’t help thinking - hire fast & fire fast too.
Bottom line - fundamentals & a healthy P&L are utmost inportance. Unless, you have friends in those firms to provide some useful tips. [Silence][Happy]
