How Do You Spend Your First Paycheck?
Everyone says the only motivation for working is getting paid. The paycheck is the only reason that keeps me sitting at my desk every day.
Is it the same for you?
There are probably very few people in the world who truly love working, except maybe those who are just starting their jobs.
Do you remember the excitement and happiness when you received your first paycheck?
Some say the first paycheck should be given to your parents because they worked hard to raise you, and it's right to give them this meaningful paycheck.
But others use their first paycheck to buy something they've always wanted, like a computer or a phone.
Of course, there are those who, after getting paid, transfer the money into $Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$ to start trading.
And then there are those who are keen on saving, immediately transferring the money into a fixed deposit account after receiving it.
How many years have you been working?
How do you plan your salary?
Do you remember what you spent your first paycheck on?

first paycheck is like changing job... normally first thing you do is to treat people, then buy something you like, and of course, save the rest!
Building up rainy day funds is the first step.
I saved almost 70% with the rest spent on food, transport and allowances for parents.
20 percent spend.
20 percent investment
10 percent high risk

My first paycheck was very little as Singapore was facing recession around 1985. I have given 30% of my pay to my parents, 50% on own expenses and the remaining 20% on saving.
