Hi Tigers,
In the blink of an eye, we’ve arrived in 2023! Have you set your own goals for the year 2023? I would like to invite you to set a goal for 2023.
The new year always comes with new resolutions. However, if you don't have your goals set up properly, it can be very difficult to achieve them.
Setting up goals for yourself helps you achieve success and keeps you away from distractions. Research by a psychologist and career coach at Dominican University of California shows that there’s a direct correlation between setting goals and achieving success. Properly defined goals help trigger new behaviors and help you focus on what’s important to you.
For example,you could create a 5-year plan based on what you want your life to look like in five years. Having this long-term plan can help you move from just dreaming into actually doing. You can also set your own investment goals, work goals, and learning goals and so on.

🌟🌟🌟The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. My Goal for 2023 is to improve my investing knowledge. It is a 5 prong approach.
1. Learn from reading investment books. I set a goal of reading at least 1 book every fortnight.
2. Learn from Investing Masters like @Adam Khoo, @Alvin 邹咏翰 through their articles as well as podcasts. Also from @Tiger_Academy , @Capital_Insights @MaverickTiger . I set a target of listening to at least 2 podcasts once a week.
3. Attend financial seminars like WWTD organised by Tiger Brokers whenever available.
4. Practise what I learn through Paper Trading and bouncing ideas with my Tiger Friends.
5. Read the latest news daily from Business Times, WSJ, The Edge and Tiger App.
I will keep a journal, record my progress and review it once a week. That is my SMART goal for 2023 as it is Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timely.

1. Earn higher returns and outperform the major indices - to achieve via listening to financial seminars/sharing and learning from the gurus
2. Spend more quality time (including going on overseas trips) with my loved ones - to strike better work-life balance
3. Self-improvement - to read at least 3-5 books on various topics
4. Improve trading techniques and get a postiive return - to learn via different platforms and socialise ideas with fellow Tiger friends
May 2023 be a joyous, prosperous and fulfilling year for all my Tiger friends [Grin]
