Insightful. Where it comes to money making stocks, need insight to have bought it at the right place first! When it is positive, need to have insight to decide if to hold further or choose to take profit. Even for money losing stocks, also need insight to continue to believe in the stock to continue to hold on to it. There you go, one word to describe all situations [LOL]

Hey Tiger Brokers fam! As a star contributor with over 1,000 followers, I'm excited to share my current portfolio – a strategy focused on tech and Asian growth.

    Tech Titan: TSMC (42%)

TSMC, the world's leading chipmaker, takes a massive 42% slice of my portfolio. Their US fab nearing production, Japanese expansion, and CoWoS dominance scream growth. They're the cornerstone of my tech play.

    Asian Powerhouses (37%)

Beyond tech, I diversify across Asia's booming economies. Bank of America (21%) taps the US financial sector, while Iron Mountain (26%) tackles data storage needs.

    Singaporean Champions (14%)

For Singapore's thriving market, I hold OCBC Bank (11%) and ST Engineering (3%). OCBC offers financial strength, and ST Engineering plays the aerospace and defense sectors.

    Rounding Out (1%)

Since joining Tiger Brokers in 2022, I've consistently shared market insights and investment ideas. My frequent posts keep followers informed about market trends and potential opportunities.

What a great idea to include my trading experience and skills in my resume! I should have discover this earlier. After consideration and thinking, I believe that having trading skills on your resume can be highly valuable, especially if you are applying for positions in finance, investment banking, or related industries.

When highlighting your trade/stock trading skills on your resume, it's important to emphasize the traits, skills, and abilities that demonstrate your proficiency and suitability for the role.

Successful trading requires a specific set of skills that go beyond the general skills needed for the stock market. Here are some important skills for a trader that should be included in your resume.

    1. Discipline

Maintain discipline in adhering to your trading plan.Steer clear of spontaneous choices influenced by emotions such as fear or greed.

    2. Risk Management

Put into practice sensible risk management techniques to safeguard your investment. Determine position sizes based on risk tolerance and market conditions.

    3. Decision-Making Under Pressure

Make quick and rational decisions, especially during fast-moving market conditions. Stay focused and avoid panic during high-stress situations.

    4. Adaptability

Be adaptable to changing market conditions and adjust strategies accordingly. Learn from both successful and unsuccessful trades to refine your approach.

    5. Continuous Learning

Stay updated on market trends, new trading strategies, and financial news. Attend workshops, webinars, and educational events to enhance your skills.

    6. Patience

Wait for the right trading setups and opportunities. Avoid overtrading and be patient for the market to confirm your analysis.

    7. Self-Control

Control emotions and avoid letting fear or greed influence trading decisions. Stick to your trading plan even in the face of temporary setbacks.

I do believe adding all these soft skills to your resume will be beneficial to your next career, regardless whether it is a financial related or non technical relateposition. It is all about soft skills!

@Tiger_comments  @MillionaireTiger  @TigerStars Hope this helps to all readers.

[Happy][Happy] On the skills i gained from stock investments, Fund Manager i am clearly not, although i do hold many stocks at this moment, some gains and some losses. Financial analyst i also cannot be although i do technical analysis before trade my stocks. The only skill i can claim to have acquired after all these years of investing in stocks is perseverance. Stock investments is like life, sometimes up and sometimes down. Keep vigilant, stay safe and keep going. Good luck to all Tigers. [USD][USD]

position control, always keep cash for further investments. There are scenarios, asset prices are much lower than expectations, but cash is already used up. it happens in every bear market. keep cash in saving account, Singapore saving bond, cash management fund, T-bill, idle cash can lower investment cost by swing trading or add position in lower price.

I will never add trading experience in my resume as I didnt want to give the potential empolyer that I am not serious in looking for a permanent job. [Sweats]

Anyway, I never even update my LinkedIn profile [Silence][LOL]. Just the basic information. Once I was head hunted but based on the job description, it sounds like my customer. I think my company has a clause where I am not allowed to work for our customer. It needs to lapse a year. Moreover, competitor company is unable to match my current pay and remuneration package. About discipline and perservance. Investing is a marathon not a sprint. One bad mistake in investment should not deter you in continuing to invest, and motivate you to learn from the lessons on how to be a better investor.

I also think prudence in usage of money is also important especially we live in an age of high inflation and uncertainty in economic outlook, as well as climate change.
