Dive into the Yen: Currency's Ups and Downs and Where to Fish for Investments
The recent rollercoaster ride of the Japanese yen (JPY) against its American counterpart (USD) has been like watching a tennis match where the ball just won't stay on one side of the court. With the yen falling on Friday and trading near its lowest level in three decades, briefly spiking against the dollar before concerns about intervention emerged following the Bank of Japan's interest rate decision, one can't help but wonder: is this a fleeting episode of financial drama, or are we witnessing the dawn of a long-term trend? More importantly, should investors pack their bags and head east, or is it better to stay put and enjoy a cup of British tea while pondering the options? Let's put on our monocles and take a closer look at this intriguing spectacle. Understanding the Drivers of the Ye
Sell in May and go away could be correct for Singapore stocks. This is a seasonal factor of dividend payments. And SGX is a solid dividend stocks market which has no dividend income tax. Most of SG listed companies ex-dividend date are in May, properly stock price peaks are just before ex-dividend date. I buy low and sell high $STI ETF(ES3.SI)$ many times in a small amount for coffee money. 5% profits is ok because $STI ETF(ES3.SI)$ dividend yield is 4%. I could earn two times 5% in a year from STI ETF.

I am a very long term investment. I had bought this share $ResMed(RMD)$ since 2008 till now. However, I have seld and bought along the years. If I have hold on all the shares that I had bought since 2008. I could easily earn more than 1million now. Therefore, my thought is like Warren Buffet, hold on to the shares if you like the company business model. You think the company have a great potential of growthing in the market, you should hold on for long term. Even the share price drop, you should not panic and sell. If you should trust the company business mode, you should even buy some more shares when the share price drop. It will be able to give you the return x2/×3/×4/×5.....×10. Give me a like to support me.
I closed $BABA 20240426 68.0 PUT$ ,BABA: collected full premium of 1.25% over a period of 35 days for this cash secured put. BABA had been moving up about 10a% from its low of $68 to $75 now over the past 1 week. The counter had been ranging between $68 to $78 since Dec 2023 will observe if this time till be different and any breakout is possible. The 50 days MA finally start crossing the 100 days MA and its continue to be slightly more bullish as long as BABA can stay above the $73.5 range.
The market experienced a tech-driven bounce, but the $DJIA(.DJI)$ remains weak. The $S&P 500(.SPX)$ closed the week with a rejection at $5,110 and the 20-day moving average. The previous SPX post shows those lines, if these resistance levels for the #SP500 hold true, it might indicate the beginning of a second leg down. This chart highlights in blue arrows the initial bounce. The green arrows point to the actual market bottom. The Question: December 2022 Redux or August 2023 Repeat? The key question is whether this situation will unfold similarly to August 2023, where a bounce preceded a deeper decline, or if it will resemble December 2022, where the bounce marked a more sustained recovery. Both cases befo

With share markets enjoying a strong start to the year, investors are considering whether it's time to take profits. The adage “Sell in May and go away” often resurfaces in late April/early May.Major indices like $S&P 500(.SPX)$ and $NASDAQ(.IXIC)$ have retraced much from recent highs and bond yields have risen, the broader market performance suggests that global growth and earnings are pivotalBearish news continues to emerge with stagnant inflation and bad earnings irritating stock market.Despite short-term cooling off, particularly in large tech stocks, a broader sell-off isn't evident, indicating a potential rotation into undervalued sectors. Are you ready to Sell in May?Is the market correctio
After over 2 weeks of correction and pullback, AI and semiconductor theme related stocks began to rebound and rally again. NVIDIA Nvidia shares rallied back from last week's selloff as some of the chip giant's biggest clients are doubling down on artificial intelligence investments. Nvidia jumped 15% this week and posting its best weekly performance since last May. The surge comes after firms like Meta, Alphabet and Microsoft pledged billions in AI investments. Nvidia daily chart Looking at NVIDIA technically, the share price broke out from the downtrend resistance line last night. The downtrend pattern lasts for over 1 month and is represented by orange line in the chart above. The breakout like this usually signifies a trend reversal and I expect more rally in the share price

🌟🌟🌟I am so happy that Google has done well in Q1 24 earnings report. This is due to its increase in Google Cloud Computing and I creased Digital Advertising revenue. Best of all, for the first time ever, Google is paying dividends of 20 cents per share and a USD 70 billion dollar buy back of shares. I am a long term investor of Google and with the current surge in stock price, I am up 51%! How good is that! @TigerStars
$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ I’m following TSLA with interest for interests sake. Right now, I'm thinking the price will likely hit its highest point at around $174.50. Then, it's looking like the first support might be back around $160.00, based on the 1-hour MA200. It could be bumpy around 160 but it’s a key level. If it takes the full standard 0.618 Fibonacci retracement, it could dip to around $152.50 before bouncing back up. If we're talking waves, and $160 is where wave 2 bottoms out, then we might see the next wave hitting $187.35 next, followed by a retracement down at $173.68. @TigerObserver@Daily_Discussion
