Market Outlook of S&P500 - 29Apr24 Technical observations of the S&P500 1D chart: The MACD indicator is on a downtrend and there is a setup for a potential reversal in the common days. Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) has hit below the zero line. This can be seen as a bearish signal with more selling volume. The last candle is above the MA 200 line and below the MA 50 line. Thus, it could be read as bullish for the long term and bearish for the mid-term. Exponential Moving Averages (EMA). $S&P 500(.SPX)$ thoughts: I like to think that the most effective corrections often involve a phase where the majority of participants are convinced it has reached its conclusion. Given the current market environment, including the ongoing conflict and concerns about potential retaliation from Israel, the S&P 500 could face significant volatility in the short term. The market selloff was also influenced by expectations of interest rate hikes, adding to the bearish sentiment. More than half of the 224 global asset managers surveyed by BofA expect a "soft landing" over the next 12 months. This is down by 15% from January when 71% of fund managers projected a soft landing. Now, more than a third of global asset managers anticipate a hard landing. As higher for longer returns, the risk of entering a recession appears to be growing. The market is currently pricing less than 2 Fed rate cuts in 2024, down from 7 in December. Soft landing expectations are quickly disappearing.

      #SP500 - Weakness Persists

Given the futures price action, this morning's key levels for staying bullish (above) or bearish (below) were identified, with a reminder that a broken resistance level becomes new support. Unfortunately, support for $ES_F was lost. Filling the gap (for good) at $4983 seems the next move for $SPX. Stochastic and Williams%R are curling up. A technical bounce is due, with $5035 acting as the nearest resistance to overcome and $4983 as the closest support level. S&P 500 is Finally Having a Pullback!

Buckle up folks, the $S&P 500(.SPX)$ is finally experiencing a pullback! After a stellar run so far in 2024, the index is seeing some long-awaited correction. For some investors, this pullback might be a chance to jump in and buy at a discount. Historically, pullbacks are often seen as opportunities to snag stocks at reduced prices. For others, it might be a wake-up call to rebalance their portfolios. If your holdings have become too heavily weighted in stocks, a pullback can be a good time to trim positions or diversify further. Let's not sugarcoat it - a pullback can also signal a shift in the market sentiment. Investors should stay informed about any underlying factors causing the dip. Why is the Fed not cutting rates & talking about hiking them this year?(2)

2."Is US Inflation Making a Comeback?"Certainly, the biggest variable regarding interest rate cuts is inflation. This year's inflation data has put the Federal Reserve in a somewhat awkward position. Firstly, energy prices have been steadily rising. Crude oil prices have reached $86, noticeably impacting Americans at the gas station.Gold prices have recently surged, breaking the $2300 mark and hitting historic highs, signaling market expectations of further inflation. While the Fed may attribute the rise in oil prices to Middle East tensions, financial markets find this hard to accept. Looking at the real estate market, the overall US housing market price index has risen by about 4% this year, and rents have increased. Consequently, the equivalent rent weight within the CPI is bound to con

      Apple's support may broke

With the rise in risk sentiment, the market's heavyweight stocks have also begun to pull back. Although the performance of the seven tech giants this week has not been too different (except for $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ ), investors have significantly different expectations.Among them, the IVs of $Apple(AAPL)$ and $Alphabet(GOOG)$ have reached a historical high for the past year, which means that investors expect a large volatility to occur next (usually negative). And the tech giants' earnings reports are in two weeks. Theoretically, the IV level is quite high, but reaching the historical highest level directly indicates that the volatility expected by investors may n

How Can I trade VIX in April?

The "Fear and Greed" index has once again fallen back into the "Fear" rangeOrdinary investors may easily overlook the options of $Cboe Volatility Index(VIX)$ , reflecting the volatility of $S&P 500(.SPX)$ . It is a cost-effective "hedge" underlying.Remember the following points:- Index option trades are all cash settled, so there is no "stock acceptance" situation in Sell PUT trades.- VIX is the market's expectation of **future** volatility within 30 days, not a measure of current or past volatility.- VIX options have a "Rule Of 16", precisely 15.87, which is the square root of 252 (the number of trading days in a year). If VIX is at 16, SPX is expected to fluctuate 1% daily; if VIX is 24, daily fluctu

Do You Believe Meta Double In Two Years?

The market experienced its worst week in the past half year, except for the $Apple(AAPL)$ that rebounded last week, and the revalued $Alphabet(GOOGL)$ can barely support the market. Most other individual stocks have basically collapsed. Among the big tech stocks that fell the most in the past week is $Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$ but options activity indicates further actions by some large investors. As many tech stocks' IV Percentage has now returned to over 80%, it implies that the market is worried about further volatility. Sellers are hoping for higher IV, which might match the current trading conditions. In particular, the Call in June 2026 for META has seen

I think with high probability that S&P 500 $S&P 500(.SPX)$  is going to head towards the 5000 USD support in near term. If you look at the attached graph for S&P, the index drop below EMA50 for the first time since Nov 2023, which might signify a potential incoming deep correction.  As we can observe, the three major U.S. stock indexes $DJIA(.DJI)$  $Nasdaq100 Bear 3X ETF(SQQQ)$  $SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust(SPY)$    fell significantly in April due to sev

      $QQQ target for 🎯$420 🌿 💨 ?

After a 10% decline in $NASDAQ(.IXIC)$ and 5% in $S&P 500(.SPX)$ , the market will?Vote please.Let’s keep this one simple; we have a quick 10% decline that’s nothing to sneeze at, also I thrown a piece of data I shared from another chart which is 75% of Nasdaq stocks are above their respective 50MA’s wish coincides generally with washout signals. MACD is at a former area of support. This decline terminated right at the previous S/R flip area (support/resistance), and stock market 101 is former resistance being turned to support- the Q’s have a chance do that technical support off of that TA level by using fundamentals from earnings to turn that into said support to launch from. One other additive I thr
